2 The Cure It GRP Waterproofing System is fully bonded to the roof substrate and should resist wind suction likely to occur, provided the timber substrate is adequately fixed to the roof structure. A flat roofing system comprising of a Cure It GRP laminate with Cure It Topcoat when tested to BS : 2004 was designated EXT.F.A.C (no limitations on use). A GRP roof can be configured to satisfy cold roof or warm roof specifications. When tested in accordance with BS EN 1928 : 2000, Flexible sheets for waterproofing Bitumen, plastic and rubber sheets for roof waterproofing Determination of watertightness, Method A No leaks were observed. A Non-slip coating is available for balcony / walkways. For Scotland purposes: This registration covers the single ply GRP laminate consisting of Cure It roofing resin and reinforcement mat as well as the associated edge trims when installed in accordance with the manufacturers written instructions. Whilst the product is suitable to take foot traffic, suitability of roof loadings will be dependent on the design of the deck and roof. The performance of any particular roof design to resist the possible effects of interstitial condensation should be assessed in isolation of this registered detail. There is evidence to suggest that condensation in cold deck flat roofs can cause problems and these types of roofs should be avoided. Warm deck roofs are considered preferable and guidance on this is included within the installation guide. The Cure It GRP Waterproofing System relies on other construction products, materials and components to form a complete roof, balcony or walkway; overall compliance will therefore be dependent on final specification. The Cure It GRP Waterproofing System materials (Cure It Roofing Resin, Cure It Roofing Topcoat, Roofing Edge Trims, Cure It Hardener, Cure It Reinforcement Mat and Cure It Trim Adhesive) will remain within the specification of the Cure It Material Safety Data Sheet when stored correctly and will form a structural waterproof membrane that will remain watertight for a period of 20 years from the date of manufacture when installed as specified in the conditions set out in the Cure It guarantee. In the standard 450g/m2 specification, the Cure It GRP Waterproofing System will be resistant to any level of foot traffic that it could reasonably be subjected to during its lifespan. The 600g/m2 specification is available for applications subject to heavy foot traffic such as walkways/balconies. Cure It should never be applied directly onto brickwork. When dealing with a complicated detail refer to the training manual for specific application instructions. Before topcoating a large visqueen sheet should always be available on site. In the event of rain STOP and cover the roof with the sheet.
