2 How to read this table: Table 1 summarizes the prerequisites and credits in the LEED 2009 Design and Construction rating systems that can be either campus or group credits. Gray shaded boxes in the Applicable Rating System columns indicate which rating system(s) are included. The Campus Credit column contains a C for credits and prerequisites that are eligible to be included as campus credits in a master site. This column will be blank for those that may be pursued separately by each LEED project within the LEED campus boundary. The Group Credit column contains a G for credit and prerequisites that have group application guidance that must be followed if pursued in a group project certification. This column will be blank for those credits where compliance must be demonstrated on an individual building basis for all buildings within a group project. This table is intended for reference only. Many credits and prerequisites have additional conditions that must be met to be eligible as a campus or group credit. The credit level application guidance that follows addresses every credit and prerequisite within the 2009 Design and Construction rating systems.

8 SS Credit 4.2: Alternative Transportation: Bicycle Storage and Changing Rooms (SS Credit 3.2 in CI; SS Credit 4, Option 2 in Retail NC and SS Credit 3 in Retail CI) Submit documentation demonstrating that sufficient bicycle racks are provided for the users of the entire site as defined in the LEED campus boundary (students, staff and/or employees, visitors etc.) and that sufficient showers are provided for 0.5% of the users of the entire site as defined in the LEED campus boundary (students, staff and/or employees housed on campus). Retail projects to follow the SSc4 Option 2 guidance for determining the number of bike racks and supporting features. The appropriate number of bike racks and showers provided must be within 200 yards of each project building(s) main entrance on the campus that are attempting LEED certification. Submit documentation demonstrating that sufficient bicycle racks are provided based on the FTEs for the entire LEED project boundary (students, staff and/or employees, visitors etc.) and that sufficient showers are provided based on the FTE occupancy for the entire LEED project boundary (students, staff and/or employees housed on campus). Retail projects to follow the SSc4 Option 2 guidance for determining the number of bike racks and supporting features. Case 2: Sites with No Local Zoning Requirement: Open space that is equal to the building footprint can be considered separate from the project site, as long as the open space is preserved for the life of the building. The open space must be contained within the LEED campus boundary.

10 Case 3: Sites with Zoning Ordinances but No Open Space Requirements: The credit requirements apply to the LEED campus boundary and the development footprints of all buildings contained within the LEED campus boundary including buildings not pursuing LEED Certification. Case 1, 2, and 3: The credit requirements apply to the LEED project boundary and all project buildings and project spaces pursuing LEED certification. The development footprints of all of the project buildings contained within the LEED project boundary (including those buildings that fall under the MPR#3 Specific Allowed Exceptions) must be included in the credit calculations. SS Credit 6.1: Stormwater Design Quantity Control NC Schools CS Healthcare Retail NC The stormwater runoff calculations must account for the total area within the LEED campus boundary. The rate and quantity reduction requirements must be met for the total campus area as defined in the LEED campus boundary. Interior: Each building within the LEED project boundary must meet the credit requirements for interior lighting individually.

Project teams may complete one set of submittal documentation representing the entire project if there is a single contract for the commissioning of all project buildings or project spaces including a single commissioning agent responsible for the entire LEED project. Commissioning plan must address each project building or space. If buildings or spaces are not owner operated and a single group is not providing operations and maintenance for all buildings then training needs to be specific to the employees providing operations and maintenance at each building.

17 EA Prerequisite 2: Minimum Energy Performance The prerequisite cannot be pursued as a campus prerequisite. Each LEED project referencing the must pursue the prerequisite individually. Each LEED project building or LEED project space must demonstrate individual compliance. The same compliance approach must be selected for all project buildings or project spaces. The district energy guidance may be applied, as applicable. Option 1: Whole Building Energy Simulation: If the energy simulation software has the capability to submeter building loads, a single energy model may be created for all project buildings, and the buildings may be submetered in the energy model to show individual compliance for each building. A separate energy input comparison table (EAp2 Section 1.4) shall be provided for each project building. The project team must provide simulation outputs from the energy simulation model that show the energy consumption per end use for each building in the project. Energy Costs: The energy costs may be calculated using average EIA rates, or based on actual utility tariffs. If actual utility tariffs are used, the tariffs should be consistent with the anticipated project utility rate structure. If the project will be billed based on the energy consumption tracked at a central utility meter serving the entire project, then the virtual energy rates ($/kwh, $/therm, etc.) shall be determined based on the total project demand and consumption, and then the energy costs for each building individually shall be determined using these virtual energy rates. If each building in the project will be billed separately based on building utility meters, then the utility tariffs shall be applied individually to each building (meaning that there may be some variation in the virtual energy rates between buildings). The project team should provide a narrative indicating how the energy costs are determined for the project, and describing all utility tariffs used for the project. Campus plant serving the project buildings Prerequisite Compliance: If the project team wishes to treat the campus plant energy as cost neutral for the purposes of documenting the prerequisite, then the District Energy Guidance Option 1 may be followed. If a single energy model is created for all project buildings, and a campus plant located within the project boundary provides thermal energy only to the buildings within the project boundary, the project team does not have to follow the District Energy Guidance in order to credit the central plant efficiency towards the buildings in the project but may use the modeling procedures outlined below. If multiple energy models are created, and the project wishes to take credit for central plant efficiency, Option 2 should be followed. Baseline Case Model: The Baseline Case HVAC system types for each building in the project shall be modeled based on the requirements of Section G3.1.1 for that building. A separate hot water and/or chilled water plant shall be modeled for each baseline building where the Baseline HVAC system includes hot water and/or chilled water. If the energy model is not capable of modeling a separate plant for each baseline building, a narrative shall be provided documenting how the central plant equipment was modeled to approximate the performance of a separate central plant serving each building, and the method described for the (Proposed Case Model) below shall be used to allocate the central plant energy consumption to each building.

18 Proposed Case Model: Each thermal energy source distributed to each project building must be individually metered in the proposed case energy model. The total energy consumption by fuel source used to generate each campus plant thermal energy source shall also be separately submetered in the energy model. Thermal distribution losses shall be accounted for in the Proposed Case model based on design calculations. The electric and fossil fuel consumption used to generate each thermal energy source shall be prorated to each building in the project based on the proportion of thermal energy used by each building (as determined from the individual building meters). The energy cost associated with the prorated thermal energy shall be determined based on the virtual electric rate and the virtual fossil fuel rate of each individual building. EA Prerequisite 3: Fundamental Refrigerant Management Eligible as a campus prerequisite provided that the refrigerants in each HVAC&R system (new and existing) serving the project buildings contain no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). In order to demonstrate compliance, submit a master list of all HVAC&R refrigerants used in projects or, if applicable, an explanation of the no refrigerants strategy. If existing systems contain CFCs, each LEED project referencing the must pursue the prerequisite individually. The District Energy System Guidance may be used if applicable. The prerequisite requirements apply to the area within the LEED project boundary, and all thermal energy systems that use refrigerant and serve projects within the LEED project boundary.. If a single energy model is created for all project buildings, and a campus plant located within the project boundary provides thermal energy only to the buildings within the project boundary, the project team does not have to follow the District Energy Guidance in order to credit the central plant efficiency towards the buildings in the project. Instead the following modeling procedures may be employed: Baseline Case Model: The Baseline Case HVAC system types for each building in the project shall be modeled based on the requirements of Section G3.1.1 for that building. A separate hot water and/or chilled water plant shall be modeled for each baseline building where the Baseline HVAC system includes hot water and/or chilled water. If the energy model is not capable of modeling a separate plant for each baseline building, a narrative shall be provided documenting how the central plant equipment was modeled to approximate the performance of a separate central plant serving each building. Proposed Case Model: The campus plant thermal energy source shall be modeled as designed. Thermal distribution losses shall be accounted for in the Proposed Case model based on design calculations. Option 2, ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guide: All prescriptive criteria must be met for each building individually. Option 3, Advanced Buildings Core Performance Guide: All prescriptive criteria must be met for each building individually.
