8 Rackmount Accessories, build it your way Equipto Electronics offers thousands of accessories so that you can have the cabinet you want the way you want it. Following is just a small selection we offer as standard. Our large selection of accessories insures that your particular requirements will be met. Power strips Power strips are mounted vertically in the rear of the cabinet and provide a three-wire grounded outlet every six inches. Our power strips are UL Listed and rated for 125V, 15 amps. A variety of cords and plugs are available. Filler panels Our 19 wide filler panels can be used to cover gaps between chassis, create better airflow in the enclosure, or as mountings for switches, indicators and components. Formed and perforated panels have a 5/8 flange around their perimeter to bring them flush with doors. Perforated panels have a vent pattern that makes their total area 30% open. Flat panels are 1/8 thick. Power strips Fans Our exhaust fans are the most efficient way to remove heat from an enclosure. They re positioned in the top panel and include fan guards. Fans use 3.5 (2U) of panel space are 115V, 50/60 Hz. Fan trays When you need to move lots of air but don t want to sacrifice space, our 19 compact fan trays are the answer. Requiring only 1U of rack space the trays have telescoping brackets that allow mounting in any depth cabinet as well as recessed panel mounting applications. Multiple fans provide redundancy in case of failure. 115V, 50/60Hz with a five-foot cord and plug. Filler panel Blowers All our blowers include a washable, replaceable aluminum filter and are available with rear, diagonal rear, or top discharge. Blowers are panel mounted to fit 19 panel width. Single phase, 120V, 60Hz with three-foot cord and plug supplied. Cantilevered shelves You can support up to 50 lbs on our cantilevered shelves. They mount from either the front or rear panel mounting angles. You can also choose grilled shelves for maximum airflow to components throughout the cabinet. Shelves are 5.25 (3U) high. Made of 16 gauge steel it s available plain or grilled. Edges are folded flat for maximum strength and to allow equipment to extend over the edge. Many different types of equipment can be supported with our half shelf. For instance, a chassis mounted on the front face of the Relay Rack can be supported by a half shelf mounted to the rear face for increased stability and safety. Two half shelves mounted front and rear provide more strength than a single cantilevered shelf. Made of 16 gauge steel, the shelf s edges are folded flat for maximum strength and to allow equipment to extend over the edge. Needs only 2U of rack space. Our Relay Rack s all steel base is formed with integral gussets for maximum strength. The base design allows the frame to be bolted directly to the floor or placed on casters. Unlike aluminum frames, floor bolting is not required for a stable Relay Rack assembly. Keyboard or monitor, this shelf accommodates both making our Relay Rack ideal for loading computer systems. The keyboard portion extends flush with the edges of the rack and accommodates standard keyboards. Construction Our sub-racks feature two main types of construction: aluminum extrusion or sheet metal based. Extrusion based sub-racks offer rigid construction and a high strength to weight ratio. Sheet metal sub-racks are available in either aluminum or steel and allow for a high degree of customization. Card Guides Several varieties of card guides are available. In-metal guides are formed directly in the material and offer light weight and low cost. They are available with or without a PCB lead in. The lead in helps guide the boards into the correct position as they are inserted. In-metal card guides with black anodized finish. Plastic card guides are available in both English and metric dimensions. Anti-vibration versions are available. This style features a small finger of plastic that helps grip the board and limit vibration. All plastic guides have a 94V-O flammability rating for regulatory compliance. Front Panels Custom front panels are available for any sub-rack. Total customization is available including cutouts, hardware, custom paint, finishing and silk screened labeling. Custom Finishes Your sub-rack can be finished in variety of ways.
