This means the job can be done faster. Most two-staged pumps are faster at lower pressure but the pump cuts over to the higher pressure, and hydraulic flow or work output slows down. Because the SPX ISP delivers constant horse power, the pressure delivery remains at its maximum. In typical working pump pressure, this means the work can be completed up to 2 to 3 times faster: an essential feature in the energy sector s projects, with wind turbines, where the job has to be done in a very short period of time. 4 4 June 2013 MOTION CONTROL SYSTEM: All about precision and control The SPX Motion Control system is a PLC*-based control system which allows for accurate and reliable control of multiple hydraulic cylinders to accomplish the lifting / lowering / pushing / rotating etc. of almost any size load. Especially within the construction industry, the challenge is often to move a heavy load (such as a bridge, an entire building, a roof over a football stadium...). This can best be done using hydraulic cylinders driven by a hydraulic pump. The critical aspect is the accuracy with which this motion is going to be performed. *PLC: Programmable Logic Controller Contractors are very much interested in the SPX Motion Control System because the structure is moved in a safe, smooth and synchronous way, thereby maximizing the construction sustainability. The SPX Motion Control System (MCS) offers accuracy in heavy load movement, in the magnitude of +/- 1 mm.
