Ten pound dry chemical ABC stored pressurized type equipped with pressure gauge and which does not need recharging except after use. b. Instructions for repairs, maintenance, and recharging shall be attached. c. Unit shall be tested and approved by UL and have minimum 4A:60-B:C UL rating. UL rating shall appear on extinguisher labels and be attached to and a part of fire extinguisher units. D. Wall-Mounted Brackets: 1. Design Criteria: a. 5 SECTION GROUND-SET FLAGPOLES PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 SUMMARY A. Products Furnished But Not Installed Under This Section: 1. Flagpole, baseplate, and foundation sleeve. B. Related Requirements: 1. Section : 'Miscellaneous Exterior Cast-In-Place Concrete' for concrete foundation and installation of base plate and foundation sleeve. 2. Section : 'Common Finish Carpentry Requirements' for installation of flagpole. 1.2 REFERENCES A. Association Publications: 1. The National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers: a. ANSI/NAAMM FP , Guide Specifications for Design of Metal Flagpoles. B. Definitions: 1. Cleat: Device used to secure halyard (rope) near bottom of flagpole, keeping flag at desired position on pole. 2. 6 1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Qualifications: 1. Manufacture to provide complete unit including fittings, accessories, bases, and anchorage devices. 1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Delivery And Acceptance Requirements: 1. Materials shall be delivered in original, unopened packages with labels intact. B. Storage And Handling Requirements: 1. Design Criteria: 1) Aluminum fabricate from two piece seamless, extruded tubing complying with ASTM B221 or ASTM B241, 6063 alloy, T6 temper. 2) Cone-tapered flagpole per Manufacturer s standard rate of taper. 3) External halyard. 4) Tensile strength not less than 30,000 psi with yield point of 25,000 psi and heat treated after fabrication. 5) Wind Load: Flagpole capable of withstanding effects of wind loads as determined according to NAAMM FP 1001 or to specified wind speed based on local codes, whichever is more stringent. c. Dimensions: 1) Wall Thickness: 1/8 inch minimum. 2) Height: 30 feet above ground level. 3) Butt Diameter: 5 inches. d. Finish: Natural clear anodized finish. e. Fittings: 1) Gold anodized aluminum flush seam ball with copper lightning terminal. Ball diameter no larger than pole butt. 2) One (1) 9 inch cast metal cleat, finished to match pole, with cover. 3) One (1) continuous halyard, 5/16 inch polypropylene with metal core.
