These elegant railing systems are ideal for schools, parks and commercial properties wherever a good looking, effective railed enclosure is required. Barofor is also ideal for applications where the emphasis is not on exclusion but on protection, safety and demarcation. Such applications include children s playgrounds, delineation of footpaths, definition and protection of vulnerable areas, such as parks, private property, etc, or potentially dangerous areas such as ponds and river banks. There is a choice of different railing styles and heights from 1000mm to 2400mm. Applications Different railing styles are available to suit different requirements, both visual and in terms of-performance. Barofor Deco is ideal for applications where safety and design is of paramount importance for example, the enclosure of children s play areas, schools and parks. Where security and deterrence are required, Barofor Round or Barofor Square will fit the bill. They offer a good level of security and are difficult to climb. Main applications are for industry, utilities and sports stadia. The Barofor System does not incorporate any protruding fixings that might provide a scalable foothold. Description Barofor system consists of the following components: Panels Horizontal rails 60 x 40mm custom rolled C section formed from 3mm thick-steel plate.

5 Description Barofor system consists of the following components: Panels Horizontal rails 60 x 40mm custom rolled C section formed from 3mm thick-steel plate. The unique profile is designed to provide high lateral strength, while the curved surface readily sheds water. Panel width is 2520mm. Infill 3 different types of infills are available: vertical square tubes, round tubes or round tubes with bowed tops. Posts Square posts are made from 60 x 60 x 2 mm section welded steel tube. The post tops are finished-with PVC caps. Coating Panels are constructed from rolled hollow sections that are hot dip galvanised after fabrication and polyester powder coated. Posts are polyester powder coated on galvanised steel. Barofor railings are available as standard in hot dip galvanised execution or colour coated green (RAL 6005). Other colours are available on request. 6 Installation Panel to post fixing Barofor railing panels are fixed to the 60 x 60 x 2 mm posts by means of polyamide fixing blocks that engage with the top and bottom horizontal rails. The polyamide fixing blocks are connected to the posts by means of connecting pins and washers. Intermediate posts Installation is by means of 10mm diameter fixing pins, length 140mm, which pass through the post and connect with washers to the polyamide fixing blocks. Intermediate posts Polyamide fixing block Washer Fixing pin 10mm dia x 140mm End posts Installation is by means of 10mm diameter split fixing pins, length 60 mm, which are passed through one face of the end post for connection to the polyamide fixing blocks (with washers) and panel rails. Holes in the post are filled with plastic caps for a neat appearance after installation. End posts Split fixing pin 10mm dia x 60mm Washer Plastic cap Corner posts The installation principle is the same as for end posts, but using two sets of fixing components instead of one. The 10mm diameter split fixing pins, length 60 mm, pass through two faces of the corner post and connect with the polyamide fixing blocks (with washers) and panel rails.
