1 Product Data Sheet Product Name Description/Uses Polomyx All-Acrylic Polomyx All-Acrylic waterbase multicolor is a seamless, spray-applied paint finish. It is visually complex, layered and dimensional, and can achieve many different looks on interior walls. Functionally, it is durable, cleanable, spot repairable and cost effective.all-acrylic is very easy to clean and provides exceptional chemical and abrasion resistance. All-Acrylic is also extremely low in VOC, breathable, resists the growthof mold and mildew on the paint film, and is well suited for installation inany continuously occupied space. Use Polomyx All-Acrylic to finish interior walls, columns, ceilings and other architectural components. Not intended for floors, exterior applications or areas subject to frequent water contact. (Note: This product data sheet may also be used for products identified as Polomyx Waterbase or Zolatone Waterbase multicolor finishes). Surface Preparation Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, wax or other contaminants. Gloss surfaces need to be deglossed or scuff sanded prior to base coat application. Water-soluble stains should be spot primed with SP222 ECO- BLOCK Stain Blocker before general priming. All surfaces should be prepared with the proper Zolatone Interior Finishes basecoat as detailed in the Basecoat Selection Guide. Application Information Method Tinting Thinning Drying Spray only. Polomyx All-Acrylic should be sprayed using conventional spray equipment and according to manufacturer's published installation instructions. Consult Application Guide or visit regarding the use of HVLP spray equipment. DO NOT USE LESS SPRAY EQUIPMENT. Do not tint. Product is ready for use. Always use the 3 step system. Line and Lap Marks: The sheer step is not being atomized and the primer is showing through the multicolor film. Recheck the fluid control knob adjustment and air to paint pressure settings. Always judge the uniformity of the sheer step after it is dry-to-touch before applying the pattern step. C. The true measure of proper equipment settings is in the final result on the wall. Pressures shown above are guidelines. 5 Waterbased Interior Finishes Zolatone Wall Maintenance Periodic washing with liquid, general purpose, non-abrasive cleanser should keep most surfaces looking like new. For more stubborn stains, a mild abrasive cleanser can be used. When cleaning deep dark colors caution must be used. The grit in abrasive liquid or powdered cleansers has a tendency to de-gloss deep colors. This may leave a dull spot when compared to adjacent areas. Avoid using cleansers which contain chlorine. Chlorine is a bleach and may discolor the surface. General washing tips Remove dust from wall surface. Use a sponge versus a cloth to wash and rinse walls. A cloth can shine a flat surface or dull a lustrous one. Change wash and rinse solutions frequently. Wash from the bottom of the wall upward. To avoid streaking when cleaning soiled areas, start with the adjacent clean area and clean into the soiled area Removal of stains from Polomyx and Polomyx Airless Follow general washing tips listed above. For tougher stains use a natural citrus formula cleaner containing no petroleum solvents. Rub the natural citrus formula cleaner into the stained area until the stained area is dissolved and removed Wipe dry and rinse with water. If maintained properly Zolatone s Form and Function finishes will provide a beautifully durable surface for many years. In the event of a failure resulting from manufacturing defect, the product will be replaced.
