1 Miami Dade College Kendall Campus - Miami, Florida USA Product: Tellus Integrated Panel System - Plant-Cast Architect: Perkins & Will Miami Precast Producer: Metromont Corporation General Contractor: Kaufman Lynn Construction Tellus Integrated Panel System The Tellus Integrated Panel System is a patented building technology which integrates a steel stud frame assembly with a two inch thick concrete cladding panel. The concrete panel is connected to the steel frame with our patented rivet connector which provides a one half inch thermal break between the back of the concrete panel and the face of the metal stud, virtually eliminating thermal transfer. The Tellus Integrated Panel System meets the Miami-Dade Building Code for High Wind Velocity construction and does not require a Notice of Acceptance. Our engineering team collaborates with the project design team to coordinate the panelization to maintain the design intent of the project, and for cost efficiency with shipping, fabrication, and installation. Tellus Integrated Panel Systems can either be plant-cast to meet PCI 116 Architectural Specifications, or site-cast for a cost effective building system that is competitive to traditional CMU block and tilt-wall construction. The Tellus Advantage Speed of Construction reduces General Condition costs Weight Reduction compared to CMU block or Tilt-wall construction reduces foundation sizing Energy Efficiency reduces operating costs Adaptability offers architects unlimited design possibilities Cost Efficient compared to traditional CMU block and tilt-wall construction LEED Credits for recycled material content, plant-cast systems = zero site waste, lighter panels = reduced shipping cost
