Grotto Stone creates an old world look while capturing the essence of nature. A pallet of 8 beautiful blended colors are available to choose from. The Grotto Architectural Series evokes the time-honored traditions of days past with an attractive alternative to standard precision block. It is available in 6 color blends to coordinate with Grotto Hardscapes products. quality 2

3 Grotto Architectural Series is manufactured by Chandler Concrete Company, Inc., formerly known as Marshall Concrete Products. The Architectural Series consists of dimensional split face concrete masonry units (also shown on page 7 of this brochure) and was developed for both veneer and load bearing masonry applications. Color selection s can be made from a variety of blends giving the Architect complete flexibility of design. Architect should specify weathered or un-weathered units to achieve desired aesthetic effect. Specification Contractor shall build 48x48 sample panels on site to demonstrate aesthetic effects for each color blend specified. Clean on half of the exposed face of panels with masonry cleaners specified. Approval of samples panel is for color, texture and blending of units: relationship of mortar to masonry colors: tooling of joints, aesthetic quality of workmanship and other material and construction qualities specifically approved by Architect. Performance Provide solid veneer Grotto Architectural Series units that develop a unit net area compressive strength of 3000 PSI at 28 days in accordance with ASTM C-140. Units shall be medium weight with a minimum density of 105 PCF and a maximum density of 125 PCF. Absorption shall not exceed 15 PCF. Workmanship Contractor is to provide shapes and sizes of units necessary to achieve structural design and aesthetic effect desired by Architect. Care should be taken to keep units dry while being stored on job site. Care should also be taken to prevent as much as possible mortar dropping onto the face of split face units.
