3 Process Committee convened to review prior work and to make a recommendation to the Board of Education Review Work already completed including: The Building Conditions Analysis Code Analysis Model Program Enrollment projections and Design Options Toured existing facility. A new option, B1, was developed in response to some comments on the original Option B and it was compelling enough to supplant the original Option B. A prioritization process was conducted so that each individual could express their preferences for the options as well as rank the evaluation criteria. Recommendations were drafted and circulated for comment.

21 Recommendations Options B1 and C both offer good responses to the many criteria used for evaluation. They should remain in consideration by the Board. The committee agreed that Educational Adequacy and Building Condition were the two most important evaluation criteria. The committee recognized that there was a need for and that there would be opportunities for additional community input. If Option B1 was selected and was only partially implemented due to cost restrictions there was a strong feeling that the initial phase should include all work related to updating the heating and ventilation systems in all parts of the existing building. The committee recommended that the partial closing of Huntington Avenue be explored further independent of the building project planning process. Additional parking should also be explored further independent of the building project planning process. The committee understands that whichever direction is selected there will be further refinement of the design to best meet the District s concerns.
