1 South Inlet Transportation Improvement Project DBNUM: / UPC: The Casino Redevelopment Authority (CRDA) has identified certain road improvements to be performed in Atlantic City on certain feeder roads, that will maintain, operate and support Atlantic City Expressway Projects of the South Jersey Transportation Authority, including on Melrose Avenue in between Delaware and Connecticut Avenues, on Connecticut Avenue from Melrose to Oriental Avenues, and on Massachusetts Avenue and various other intersection and capital improvements in connection with the South Inlet Transportation Improvement Project. NJDOT has agreed to provide one third of the eligible costs up to $17 M, plus the additional needed to finance bonds. Approximately $1.5 M TTF funding will be provided to SJTA by NJDOT annually for 20 years for this purpose, except for the first year which will be $1.7 M TTF. SJTA will issue debt based on NJDOT s funding guarantee and provide the funding to CRDA. This project is multi year funded. Total construction funding needed is expected to be $24,996,000. The project includes; corrections made to deficiencies in the sidewalks, curbing, curb ramps, intersections, and swales and some inlets will be constructed to eliminate ponding. Guiderail will be brought up to current standards. This project is multi year funded. Total construction funding needed is expected to be $19,500,000. 6 Route 40, Atlantic County, Drainage DBNUM: / UPC: Approximately one mile of Rt 40/322 will be raised from 2.5 to 4 feet above existing to reduce flooding. Construction will include new pavement, new curbs and sidewalks, relocation of aerial and underground utilities and new drainage. At Mile Post 63.4, steel sheeting and new drainage will be installed. Total construction funding needed is expected to be $10,200,000. 7 Route 40/322, Median Closures, Delilah Road to East Fire Road DBNUM: 196A5 / UPC: This project is a break out from ʺRoute 40/322 Cologne Ave to Fire Roadʺ. A recent crash analysis for Route 40/322 Median Closure Delilah Rd. to Fire Rd. project from the Bureau of Safety Programs for years was completed. The analysis reveals the need for a Concept Development study to address safety concerns for the remaining part of the Route 40/322 Delilah Rd. to Fire Rd. Total construction funding needed is expected to be $4,200,000. Due to project associated impacts, requires the NJDOT to purchase land for plantings of vegetation and trees due to overall land disturbances due to the project in accordance with NJDEP riparian and reforstation mitigation requirements. Total construction funding needed is expected to be $784,000.
