2 General Features of Cantilever Racking Cantilever racking is specifically designed to store long or varying length items, such as metal beams, pipes, molding, wooden boards, metal and plastic sheets and a wide range of other materials. The system consists of columns with horizontal and x-bracing set(s). A series of arms are attached to the columns (uprights) and loads are placed on the arms. Loads may be handled manually when they are lightweight, or by using lift trucks or other appropriate lifting systems when heavy items are involved. Single-sided Cantilever Single-sided Cantilever is normally placed against the walls with access from one side only. 4 Uprights for Structural Cantilever The Structural Cantilever uprights are manufactured using either medium duty models (W6 x9 or W6 x12) or heavy duty models (W8 x13, w8 x15, W8 x18 or W10 x19). Either model affords the upright s punch (holes) positioning, allowing bolted arms to be placed in 3 intervals and for the joints and cross bracing to attach to the core at specific points. 5 Arms for Structural Cantilever The bolted arms are generally used with very heavy loads or in situations where minimal movement of the arms is required. They are manufactured from S3 x 5.7 up to S6 x 12.5 profiles with a plate welded to one end for bolting onto the columns, while a curved part at the other end facilitates the placement of the loads, as well as serving to attach the stops. Arm S6 x 12.5 Arm S3 x 5.7 Stop Arm stops The stops consist of a round tube which is inserted in the top hole on the supports and simultaneously slotted into the lower tab, thereby preventing loose goods from falling. Once assembled, the arms slope slightly toward the column, ensuring extra safety. 5

6 Cross bracing for Structural Cantilever Cross bracing with tensioners and column joints connect columns together along the length of the system for rigidity purposes. This connection provides a solid, stable structure. Bases for Structural Cantilever Support plates, reinforcements, and anchoring holes are all at the bottom of the column, which is bolted to bases using attachment plates. At the other end, the stop attachment parts facilitate placement of the loads. The plates are ready for anchoring to the floor. 6 cantilever

Core components include uprights mounted to base channels and braced securely together, cantilevered arms are connected to the uprights at the desired heights to support products and loads. There are no aisle uprights to limit the use of horizontal space. 10 Arms for Roll Formed Cantilever The welded Cantilever arms are connected to the uprights at the desired heights in 3 increments to support product and loads. There are no aisle uprights to limit the use of horizontal space. Much like the Interlake Mecalux Structural arms, the Roll Formed arms are also easily adjustable horizontally in 3 intervals and easily removed or replaced. Also available for all Roll Formed arm models are end-of-arm cap add-ons. Available for select welded products are wood deck arms, end stop holders, and pipe stops. 10 cantilever
