Cutting labour times and costs, Multipanel is suitable for new build or refurbishment projects and does not require specialist fitting. 11 Multipanel Walls - Maxi 11 Multipanel Maxi Maximum Coverage For Clean Areas Compact grade laminate with extra height and 3mm thickness. These gloss or matt white panels have excellent benefits for areas that need to be kept clean. Maxi is ideal for decorating over tiles due to its slim 3mm design. With floor to ceiling installation a height of over 2400mm and a width of up to 1850mm, the panels are manufactured to BS EN 438 standards and are Class 2 (Class 1 available to order) fire rated with a 10-year warranty. Aluminium corners, jointing and end cap sections ensure a robust fit. Other colours can be ordered. 12 Multipanel Multipanel Wall Panels Wall Panels 12 Reference Classic Plus Range Photo Wall Description Specification Classic, Plus & Photowall are used as interior decorative panels for both wet and dry areas. Constructed from a hardwood waterproof plywood core (EN314 2 CLASS 3 Exterior) bonded under controlled conditions with a high pressure decorative laminate to face, and a plain white balancing laminate to rear. Waterproof glue lines are D4 rated. All work is carried out to BS EN ISO 9001:2008. Panel Dimensions / Weight 2400 x 1200 x 11mm / Approx 25KG 2400 x 900 x 11mm / Approx 18.75KG 2400 x 598 x 11mm / Approx 12.5KG 2400 x 1200 x 11mm / Approx 25KG 2400 x 1200 x 11mm / Approx 25KG Joints Our standard details for jointing two panels together, without using aluminium extrusions, is Hydrolock. This produces a watertight, subtle joint that is quick and easy to install. Aluminium Extrusions are used to connect panels at corners, and finish at open ends. Multipanel Seal is used where panels meet baths and shower trays. All joints must adequately sealed with high performance silicone sealant. Alternatively specify your own laminate 12 stock images available, clients can also provide own photography Tolerances Cleaning Precautions Fire Rating Thermal Properties CE Marking Thickness: +/- 0.5mm Length: +/- 1.0mm Width: +/- 0.5mm Curve: +/- 3.0mm The panels should be cleaned using warm water and a non abrasive mild detergent (not bleach). Scouring products or powders should not be used. When cutting or trimming the boards sharp edges may be encountered which should be smoothed off using sandpaper or plane. Aluminium cutting should be carried out using appropriate metal cutting tools such as a hack saw and de-burred. Appropriate eye protection should always be worn. When disposed of, the panels are suitable for landfill with no leaching or environmental pollution considerations associated with the product. Multipanel has an equivalent to class 2 fire rating. The laminate used in Multipanel is not fire rated as standard. Dry Heat For short periods; Multipanel will withstand surface temperatures of up to 180 C (356 F) to Grade 5 without deterioration of surface or colour (although in some cases a slight loss of sheen may occur). Avoid continuous localised heat. If used in situations of localised heat, such as adjacent to ovens, the maximum temperature to which the panel should be subjected to for long periods (up to 8 hours) is 100 C. In applications, such as use in fire surrounds, panels are subjected to direct heat more or less continuously. In such cases we would not recommend the use of Multipanel. Resistance to Cigarette Burns; Multipanel has a resistance rating of 4 (Min 3) to damage by lit cigarettes, and will normally only suffer a loss of sheen and/or slight to moderate brown staining. Excessive localised heating can result in blistering of laminate surface. Resistance to Boiling Water Being resistant to steam and boiling water, Multipanel is ideal for applications where cleanliness and hygiene are important. Resistance to Cold; Multipanel is unaffected by extreme dry cold and cold storage conditions. However, extreme cold could affect the engagement of joints, and therefore panels should be conditioned in the environment they will be installed in, for hours. Chemical Resistance; Multipanel has been used widely and satisfactorily for many years in medical and industrial sites. Multipanel meets the requirements of EN 438 at level 5, which specifies resistance to staining by 49 substances in every day use. Wear Resistance 450 revolutions. Grant Westfield s long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility has been recognised by our recent approval for FSC (Forest Stewardship Council ) Licence Code FSC-C and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) Chain of Custody certification. This ensures the timber we use originates from responsibly sourced forests and our finished products comply with globally recognised ecological, social and economic standards. These certificates are the latest achievements in a rolling programme of environmental and sustainability initiatives within both our manufacturing processes and design approach. Our environmental initiatives includes the installation of a voltage optimiser, providing a reduction of 120,000kWh per annum; a solar photovoltaic array fitted at our facility in Edinburgh, generating 42,200kW last year, and since 2010 our pro rata carbon footprint has reduced by one third.
