5 EXPERIENCE: Gregory Carnaghi has over 10 years of structural engineering experience in the planning, design, and construction administration of large commercial projects. With experience in project types including healthcare, industrial, corporate workplace, automotive research, manufacturing, higher education, and assisted living, Mr. Carnaghi has been involved with over 200 projects having total construction costs ranging from one million to twohundred and sixty million dollars. Greg has experience with ground-up new construction, renovations to existing structures, additions to existing structures, and re-purposing of existing structures to comply with present design standards. Greg has performed investigations of existing structures to determine construction and design deficiencies, as well as evaluation of field modified components. Mr. Carnaghi has experience designing and detailing structures comprised of the following materials, components, and systems: Structural Steel Reinforced Cast-in-Place Concrete Reinforced Masonry and Veneer Assemblies Timber and Wood Shallow Foundation systems including: o Reinforced Concrete Spread Footings o Reinforced Concrete Mat Footings Deep Foundation Systems including: o Drilled Piers (Caissons) o Auger-cast Concrete Piles o Driven Steel Pile Earth Retention Systems Lateral Load Resisting Systems including: o Braced Steel Frames o Moment-resisting Steel Frames o Moment-resisting Reinforced Concrete Frames o Reinforced Concrete Shear Walls o Reinforced Masonry Shear Walls o Wood-panel Shear Walls o Cantilevered Columns Seismic Design of Non-Structural Building Components in Regions of Moderate to High Seismicity. Mr. Carnaghi has performed reverse engineering of existing structures utilizing historical construction documents, non-destructive investigation, laboratory based material testing, and in-place load testing techniques. These reverse engineering exercises are commonly used with renovation projects and re-purposing of existing structures. Mr. Carnaghi has provided structural engineering services ranging from conceptual planning through construction administration as part of multi-discipline design teams. 5
