1 TENDER FOR SUPPLYING, INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING OF GODREJ SINGLE BED FIONA FOR DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ROOM ALONG WITH GODREJ MATTRESSES IN HOSTEL ROOMS AT STATE BANK ACADEMY, "GURUKUL", GURGAON To, M/S INVITATION OF TENDER Dear Sir/s State Bank of India, having its Office named State Bank Academy at Plot No. 77, Sector 18, Gurgaon invites sealed offers from all the authorised dealers of Godrej Interio having presence in the country in SINGLE STAGE TWO ENVELOPE SYSTEM PART A (Technical bid) & PART B (priced bid). PART A containing the qualification proposal and EMD and PART B containing the price bid for Supplying, installation and commissioning of godrej single bed FIONA for double occupancy room along with mattresses as mentioned in BOQ in hostel rooms located at Bank s (SBA S) premises. Technical and price bids, if not sealed in separate covers, the tender shall be rejected. Specification of the work Supplying, Installation & Commissioning of 150 Nos. Of Godrej single bed FIONA in doube occupancy hostel rooms along with godrej mattresses as mentioned in BOQ by removing the existing beds. All the beds and mattresses should be properly installed in all rooms as instructed by Engineer in-charge. Duration of the work Work should be completed within a period of 5 days from issue of work order. Qualification Criteria: i. Should have authorized dealership of Godrej Interio. ii. Should have adequate qualified technical, semi-skilled personnel for installation and commissioning of beds. iii. Should not have abandoned any work nor rescinded any part of their contract during the last 5 years.

2 iv. The pre-qualification/ post-qualification of the bidders would be based purely upon their capability, competence, capacity, resources, experience and expertise. The bidders would be required to submit documentary evidence(s) in support of the above criteria along with their qualification proposals. v. Interested persons may inspect the establishment and obtain the tender documents from the office of The Chief Manager (Admn.) State Bank Academy, at 77, Sector 18, Gurgaon , during normal office hours on all working days from to Tender may be downloaded from our website under the head procurement news. vi. A complete set of tender documents may be collected from the above office during the normal office hours on all working days from to The tender forms can also be downloaded from the Bank s website under Procurement News. vii. All completed tender documents in two parts A and B should be submitted on or before 2.30 p.m. on along with Earnest Money Deposit of Rs.25,000/- by way of Banker s Demand Draft or Banker s Cheque in favour of State Bank Academy drawn on a Nationalized/Scheduled Bank payable at Gurgaon, in separate covers, failing which tender will be rejected. Part A of the tender containing requisite pre-qualification criteria and EMD will be opened on at 3.00 p.m. The date of opening of Price Bid in Part B will be advised subsequently. vii. Conditional tenders will not be accepted. viii. The Bank reserves the right to reject any or all the proposals at any stage without assigning any reason thereof.

3 CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT The tender terms and conditions for submitting the tenders are as follows :- (i) The tenders should reach at this office during office hours not later than 2.30 PM on duly sealed and superscribed with the name of the project/work. (ii) (iii) (iv) (iv) (v) (vi) (vii) (ix) (x) (xi) (xii) The tenders will be opened on at 3.30 P.M. in the cabin of the DGM & Sr. Faculty(Cr & IB) in presence of those contractors or their authorised representatives who desire to remain present. The work shall be completed within a period of 5 days from the date of work order. Unsealed tenders will not be accepted. The rates should be quoted in both figures and words. In case of discrepancy in the rates in figures and words, the rates in words will be considered for evaluating tender. Tenders with any conditions, additions/alterations, omissions, overwriting etc. will not be accepted. Corrections, if any, should be duly signed and stamped. A penalty of 5% per day will be charged subject to maximum of 25% of the work order amount for delaying the work beyond the completion date unless cause for delay is beyond control of the contractor. Banks decision will be final and binding on the contractor. All the materials to be used for installation of beds should be of the best quality. The rates to be quoted shall be fixed, inclusive of all charges, taxes, transportation, octroi, duty, sales tax\vat, excise duty etc. No additional payment will be made towards these on any account. The Bank reserves the right to reject all or accept any tender without assigning any reason thereon; The tenders to be submitted must be strictly in the format as per the enclosed schedule, failing which the tender will be rejected The make / brand etc. other than approved make should be got approved from the Bank s Engineer;

4 (xiii) (xiv) (xv) (xvi) Being the working offices / Hostel area, the contractors should take proper care of the Bank s Furniture, fixtures, fittings, records, stationery etc. Any damage caused directly and indirectly by the contractors, will have to be compensated. The routine office work should not be hampered due to contractors work Mode of measurements will be as per units mentioned in schedule of quantities. The work may also be carried out before and after office hours, on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays in consultation with the Bank. The contractors are requested to inspect the building / site in question with the permission of the Chief Manager (Admin.) before quoting the rates. (xvii) The tender rates should be valid for a period of 3 months from the date of opening. (xviii) Earnest Money Deposit of Rs.25, (Rupees twenty five thousand only) shall be deposited with the Bank by way of Demand Draft as a guarantee of good faith for the proper execution of the contract alongwith the tender in favour of State Bank Academy payable at Gurgaon failing which tender will be rejected. (EMD with covering letter should be enclosed in a separate cover superscribing the name of the work) (xix) (xx) The contractor shall make his own arrangement for procuring all the materials required for execution of the above work and may store the same at site at his own risk & cost (1) Retention money amount of 10% shall be deducted from every RA Bill exclusive of EMD. (2) 50% of the total retention money amount inclusive of EMD shall be released against the virtual completion of the work. (3) Balance 50% of the retention money amount shall be refunded after the expiry of the defects liability period of one year from virtual completion of the work. Any defects arising during this period shall be rectified / replaced by the contractor free of cost. (xxi) Removing debris from the site shall be contractor's responsibility at no extra cost.

5 (xxii) On completion of the work, the contractor shall clean the entire premises, to the Bank s satisfaction prior to handing over the premises at no extra cost. (xxiii) The contractor should acquaint himself with the site conditions, local traffic regulations, local authority regulations, availability of materials, labour law rules etc. and quote the rates accordingly. No extra charges/ increase in the rate shall be considered on any amount. (xxiv) The rates quoted shall cover for execution of the work after office hours and on holidays and in stages. (xxv) The contractors will have to make his own arrangements for watch and ward at all the times. The owner will not be responsible for material/works till officially taken over by the Bank. (xxvi) The contractor and / or his authorised representative will attend all the meetings whenever called for and the decisions taken in the meeting will be binding on the contractor. (xxvii) The EMD/retention money amount shall not carry any interest. (xxviii) Free Electric power / water required for execution of the work will be made available at one point in the premises. The contractor will have to make his own arrangement for carrying the same to the place of work at his own cost by providing necessary cable, wiring etc. with proper safe guard / caution boards prominently displayed for the safety of Banks Staff and others. (xxix) Contractors will have to maintain site instructions book (triplicate book), failing which contractors will not be allowed to start the work & the contractor will be solely responsible for delay due to this. (xxx) Contractor shall daily keep the premises clean, as far as possible free of any dust / dirt before the starting of the working hours to the satisfaction of Bank. (xxxi) All the works are to be carried out as per the specifications, instructions and directions of the Engineer-in-charge. The quality & workmanship should be of best order. (xxxii) Scaffolding, cantering, any tools & tackles etc. is to be arranged by the contractor & rates quoted should be inclusive of it. (xxxiii) If rates quoted by the contractor are found inconsistent and overall quotation is abnormally low or for any specific item(s), the Bank reserves the right to reject such tender

6 (xxxiv) Quantities given in schedule of quantities are liable to vary and the Bank will not be responsible for any loss to the contractor due to such variations. (xxxv) In respect of this project any or all parties / workers directly or indirectly employed in the WORK for the performance of CONTRACTOR S part of this agreement, the CONTRACTOR shall at his own expense arrange for all the safety provisions as per safety codes of C.P.W.D., Indian Standard Institution, The Electricity Act and such other acts as applicable. (xxxvi) The court in Gurgaon city (Haryana State) alone shall have jurisdiction in respect of any matter touching these presents.
