Rs. 5000/- by Demand Draft / Pay Order only Time of completion months 3 weeks 1) Sealed Tenders (Two Bid System, Technical Bid & Price Bid) on item rate basis, are to be addressed and submitted to The Deputy Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Ground Floor, General Operation Department, 345, PU-4, Scheme No 54, A. B. Road, Indore ) To facilitate the processing of applications, two separate sealed covers, cover I, Technical Bid (Volume-I) containing General Conditions of the Tender, Cost of tender paper (Rs.1000/-) along with D.D/Pay order for Earnest Money Deposit, and the cover II, Price Bid (Volume-II) containing the Price/amount duly filled in against each item in the stipulated form, shall be submitted. No conditions, etc., shall be permitted in the second cover. Both the covers have to be super-scribed with Technical Bid & Price Bid Both the cover. If technical bid and price bid are submitted in one sealed cover than application will be rejected and will not be processed further. 3) Tender fee of Rs.1000/- and an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs /- (Rupees five thousand only) shall be enclosed in the first Tender cover only, by Pay Orders / DD issued by a Nationalized/ scheduled Bank only, in the name of Bank of India, Indore. A tender which is not accompanied by such a Pay Order of Earnest Money Deposit will be rejected. The Earnest Money Deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be returned as soon as possible but without any interest. 4) Tender Forms can be purchased from the office The Deputy Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Ground Floor, General Operation Department, 345, PU-4, Scheme No 54, A. B. Road, Indore , on

3 payment of Rs. 1000/- (non refundable) in the form of Pay Order in favour of Bank Of India, Indore from to (except Sundays & Holidays ) during office working hours between a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Saturdays). Tender forms can also be downloaded from Bank s web-site. If the tender forms are downloaded from web site, the tenderer should submit a demand draft/ Pay Order of Rs.1000/- favoring Bank of India, Indore in a separate sealed cover superscripted Cost of Tender Forms inside the first tender cover, failing which their tender is liable for rejection. 5) The last date of submission of tenders, duly filled (in two sealed covers), is up to 3.00 p.m. on to The Deputy Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Ground Floor, General Operation Department, 345, PU-4, Scheme No 54, A. Road, Indore The rates shall be filled both in words and figures. 6) The Tender document, Technical Bid (Volume-I)& Price Bid(Volume-II) will be opened at 3.30 p.m. on same date at in the office of The Deputy Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Ground Floor, General Operation Department, 345, PU-4, Scheme No 54, A. B. Road, Indore , in the presence of authorized competent representative of the tenderer along with authorization letter, who can take decision on the spot in the matter. PRICE BID WILL OPEN ONLY THOSE APPLICANT WHO HAVE SUBMITE ANY WORK ORDER (JOBE VALUE MORE THAN 5 LACS) ISSUED BY NTIONALISIED BANK DURING THE LAST FIVE YEARS AND TENDER FEE AND EMD 7) On opening the technical bid if it is found that the applicant has not submitted the cost of tender and/or the EMD of requisite amount and if technical bid and price bid is submitted in one envelope their application will be rejected and will not be processed further. 8) The Tenderer must check all the pages of the Tender Form at the time of collecting the Tender from this office, If any pages is found missing, it shall be immediately brought to the notice of the owner, It may be noted that the Tender will be disqualified if any page is found missing after opening the Tender. 9) Bank of India reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders or split the work to any other Contractor at the time of issuing work order or during the contract period, without assigning any reasons for doing so. 4 Soil investigation work to be carried out for the Proposed Zonal Office and Residential flats for Bank of India at Bank s plot 9/RC Scheme No 134, Indore. BRIEF SPECIFICATIONS AND SCOPE OF WORK 1. GENERAL 1.1 All soil investigation work must be carried as per relevant Indian Standards for subsurface investigations (IS 1892), classification of soils (IS 1498), determination of bearing pressures for shallow foundations (IS 6403), pile foundations (IS 2911) and various other Standards specified for the sampling, tests and recommendations. For laboratory testing of rock samples, methods suggested by International Society of Rock Mechanics (ISRM) SHALL BE FOLLOWED. 1.2 All levels shall be recorded from a fixed bench mark identified by the Architects. 1.3 Tentative locations of the boreholes are marked on the enclosed drawing. 1.4 Soil investigation Agency shall keep the architect informed about the progress of work at site and shall furnish clarifications if required. 1.5 The time limit for completing soil investigation work is three weeks from the date of receipt of the Work- Order. 2. SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION Total number of boreholes will be 9 Nos. as shown in the drawing. The scope of soil investigation work shall definitely include (but shall not be limited to) the following: 2.1 Drilling all bore holes up to at least 10 m depth below the existing ground level or upto hard rock level whichever is more and collecting disturbed and undisturbed samples at suitable intervals (and at change of strata) and recording Standard Penetration Test results. 2.2 Carrying out laboratory tests on the samples collected to determine Engineering Properties of Soil as directed by the Consulting Engineers. i.e. Triaxial test direct Shear test, Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, Plasticity Index, Grain Size Analysis, Swelling pressure,

5 Free Swell Index, Compression Index, Voidration, Porosity, unconfined compressive strength etc. 2.3 Recording existing ground water table and the extent of fluctuation, if any, in ground water table level. 2.4 Indicating the permeability of soil to determine the feasibility of carrying out open excavation up to 10m depth, if required. 3. RECOMMENDATIONS 3.1 The Soil Investigation Agency is expected to make recommendation on each type of Foundation, Depth of Foundation and Net Allowable Pressure on the soil along with the values of modules of sub-grade at different levels. The expected short-term and longterm settlements for the recommended bearing pressures shall be clearly spelt out. 3.2 for all recommendations, the formulae in Indian Standards shall be used or any established literature can be consulted. The soil investigation agency shall give complete calculations to the structural consultants showing the basis of the recommendations on field and laboratory tests. The criteria for determination of quality of acceptable strata shall be clearly defined in a manner, which will assist the supervisory staff at site during the progress of work. 3.4 the investigation agency shall visit the site at least twice during the initial stages of actual construction work of the project, whenever it is taken up, to confirm the acceptance of the founding strata as well as its load carrying capacity, in accordance with the results of soil investigation it has submitted. 3.5 The investigation shall include in the report, the safe slope of excavation needed to be maintained throughout the work for different depths of excavation from 1m up to 12m depending on the soil properties in different layers. 3.6 the report should also indicate the need to install a soil retention system including dewatering, if required, and the recommended type of such a system keeping in view that excavation levels may reach a depth of 10m. 3.7 A cross section of soil covering the bore holes along both the axes shall be included in the report.

6 TERMS AND CONDITIONS:- 1. Contractor shall mobilize the site immediately from the date of issue of LOI, which shall be considered as the date of commencement of work. 2. The total completion time for the work is 3 Weeks from the date of commencement of work and submission of final Soil Investigation Report. 3. All expenses including mobilizing and demobilizing of equipment and manpower is inclusive in the rates quoted. 4. Service 12.36% shall be payable extra. PAYMENTS TERMS:- All the payment will be made within 7 days from the date of submission of Soil Investigation Report. Advance payment on any account is not acceptable. The Quotation should be submitted in Sealed Envelope duly super scribing Quotation for Soil Investigation.
