20 ADDITIONAL OPERATIONAL NEEDS Bus Purchases District Security Upgrades Building Access System Surveillance Camera Upgrade Technology Infrastructure and Computer Purchases
21 BUS PURCHASES Recent bus purchases came from the capital projects fund; there have been no general fund bus purchases since There were no new buses purchased in the school year An estimated 22 buses in our fleet will be 15-years-old by next year Estimated Cost: $1,500,000.00
22 DISTRICT SECURITY UPGRADES Building Access System Currently only the Administration Building and Jaindl Elementary have keyless entry We are investigating keyless options (including swipe cards and biometric systems) that would integrate with our efinance payroll system and eliminate the need for time cards The high school has a number of cameras, most purchased in 1999; however all other buildings (except Jaindl) currently have more limited surveillance camera abilities Estimated Cost: $1,214,000.00
23 TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND COMPUTER PURCHASES The comprehensive five-year funding plan includes: A new phone system (our present phone system was purchased from a bond issue in 1999 and loses support in December, 2013) Computer purchases (based on our current five-year replacement cycle) Network routers and switches Wireless network component replacements Storage Area Network (SAN) maintenance Estimated Cost: $5,800,000.00
