2 The Complete Roof Access Solution The Latchways Product Selector is designed to help you identify the part numbers of the products required to provide the best solution for your customer s roof access requirements. Latchways have three core systems that can be used for safe roof access; s, VersiRail and WalkSafe, as well as a range of ancillary rooftop products. 2

3 Constant Force Post Latchways developed the (CFP) to work on all major roof types using a variety of different sized base plates and fixing methods. There are specific part numbers for base plates and fixing kits, on occasion they may be combined as a single part number. Please follow the flow chart below to find your best suited product. Where Latchways has developed a strong working relationship with different manufacturers, CFP s have been given their own specific manufacturers part number. By following this simple flowchart and using the product selector table in the following pages, you should quickly be able to find the part numbers you are looking for. 10 VersiRail Latchways guardrail system, VersiRail, is available in both freestanding and fixed options in three main upright styles; straight, curved and inclined. A variety of accessories allow for bends and terminations as well as toe boards and slopes. VersiRail can be installed onto roofs up to a maximum pitch of 10º. Parapet wall Membrane Is the system on a membrane or metal profile roof? Metal profile There are three slab mounting plates available and a fixing collar to be used as part of the weathering detail see table on page 11. The height of the parapet will determine the height of the guardrail. Upright eights of 300 mm to 1200 mm are available to ensure the minimum height requirement is met. Three fixing options are available table on page 14. Before installation it is essential to check that the strength of the parapet is compatible with the loads generated by the fixed VersiRail system for details on this please refer to the table on page 11. NOTE BELOW* Is the system on a Sika roof or standard membrane roof? See table for part numbers. SEE Metal profile advisory note below* Sika Standard Specific part numbers are required for the uprights and a sole is supplied for the foot of the post to protect the membrane. Select from Sika range, page 13. Both a sole (see page 13) and sacrificial layer are required to protect the membrane. The sacrificial layer is not available from Latchways. 15 WalkSafe Latchways has developed a upvc walkway, WalkSafe, which fixes to all major roof types. This designates safe access routes on roofs, protecting the roof material and guiding workers away from hazards. WalkSafe is available in three colours with a tropical variation specifically for hot climates. The anti-slip profiles can be ordered in varying widths dependent on expected traffic flow and in longways/shortways configuration to provide a safe means of access on the roof. For roof pitches of 6 or more, a levelled walkway is recommended. For roof pitches of 10º or more, a stepped walkway is recommended as these items are made to order please contact Latchways at spec@latchways.com with your roof configuration. Membrane What is the roof type metal PROFILE or membrane?
