1 OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT, RFP NO.: RFP OPENING DATE: APRIL 16, 3:00 PM ADDENDUM #4 April 9, 2018 THIS ADDENDUM IS TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: NOTE: Similar requests for information that were received from different Contractors have been grouped under a single addendum item where appropriate, with a single comprehensive answer provided. The following items offer clarifications that do not change the requirements of the RFP documents. Item 4-1 Question: Reference Drawing M0.01, Note 12- Note states that HVAC shall be maintained to all areas outside the current phase of the renovated area at all times. Are temporary chillers or cooling towers part of this project? Is there another chilled water source that can carry the load during the cooling tower replacement? Answer: Temporary chillers and cooling tower are currently not be needed due to the construction schedule, but outages should be coordinated with the Owner as required. The existing two chillers and cooling tower provide the sole source of chilled water for the building. Item 4-2 Question: Reference Drawing M0.01, Note 15- Are there any known items to be returned to the Owner at this time? Answer: There are no known items to be returned to the Owner at this time. Contractor shall confirm this with Owner during construction. Item 4-3 Question: Reference Drawing M0.01, Note 21- Note states that priming and painting of all mechanical floors and boiler room floors are required to provide a smooth, cleanable surface. Please confirm that floor painting is required. If required, please indicate to what extent. Answer: Floor painting should be performed at the locations of the new and existing condenser water and chilled water pumps. The following item offer clarification that does change the requirements of the RFP documents. Item 4-4 Question: Reference Drawing M2.01, Note 35- Note states that a new BTU meter is to be installed under Alternate #1. The bid form does not reference the BTU meter in the description of work. Is the new BTU meter to be included in Alternate #1?

PART 8 The undersigned agrees that if selected as the Contractor, to execute a contract in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal and the Contract Documents, within five (5) days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after presentation thereof by the College. PART 9 Upon contract award, the undersigned agrees to hold prices firm for the duration of the overall contract term. PART 10 - The undersigned acknowledges the right of the College in its sole discretion to accept any Proposal or to reject any or all Proposals. PART 11 - The undersigned further certifies under the penalties of perjury that this proposal is in every respect bona-fide, fair and made without collusion or fraud with another person, joint venture, corporation, partnership or other business or legal entity.
