Step 2. If using sump unit as outet cut off outet spigot, position sump in concrete bed and fit PVC-U Ø110mm pipework connection to drainage. Step 3. Knock out preformed base of corner unit and remove appropriate cut-out for channe connection. Connect corner unit to sump. Check ine and eve of corner unit and backfi with concrete. Step 4. Lay channes from outet corner unit ensuring joints cip together. Fit endcaps. With gratings fitted haunch around channes with concrete or suitabe fi materia. Fina surface to be 3-5mm above grating. Lay 100mm (min.) bed of C12/15 concrete. Step 2. Access and sump unit must be fitted in order to aow subsequent access for maintenance and ceaning. If outetting from access unit knock out pre-formed outet from the inside, fit PVC-U Ø110mm union, connect to outet drainage pipework and position on C12/15 concrete bed. Dig out the existing base e.g. typicay for ight vehice traffic / parking areas, mm wi suffice. With heavy whee oads or a cay soi, 400mm may be necessary. ACO GroundGuard accessories Step 2. Compact the sub-base. Fi the excavated area with free draining grave or crushed stone to 100mm (grass) or 80mm (grave) and tamp down. Leve the area with a ayer of fine aggregate or for grass sieve sand/compost/oam mix. Leve using a rai or wooden batten. Step 3. Insta ACO BorderGuard at this stage. Insta ACO GroundGuard ties aong the ength of the area. Then assembe ACO GroundGuard ateray. Interock the fastening cips. Depending on the soi conditions and intended use of the area to be stabiised, dig out the existing base. Typicay, for driveways, mm. Note: Seek independent engineering advice to determine the required sub-base thickness and what drainage may be needed. If using concrete edging insta this next. Step 2. Compact the sub-base using a pate compactor. Fi the excavated area with free draining grave or crushed stone to 110mm beow the finished eve. Tamp down with a roer or pate compactor. Leve the area with a ayer of fine sand to 60mm depth. Use a rai or wooden batten and compact. Step 3. Insta the ACO GraveGuard ties aong the ength of the area. Insta the ties ensuring that the geo-membrane overaps each other. For best performance the ties shoud be aid in a staggered pattern rather than a grid pattern. for more detais Step 4.
