6 SPRAY FOAM VS. TRADITIONAL INSULATION Demilec is constantly improving its product formulas, positioning spray foam as today s standard insulation choice. A key area of research and development targets high air permeability of traditional insulation, which was known to allow air to easily pass through walls where gaps and seams exist. Of the many differences between spray foam and fiberglass, is that spray foam does not allow wind-washing, which leads to a reduction in the R-factor of the insulation.

10 A REVOLUTIONARY NEW STANDARD FOR FIRE SAFETY Demilec APX is a revolutionary open-cell, half-pound density spray foam insulation that has an R-value of 3.7 at 1 inch. It is compliant with the stringent fire test requirements of the International Building Code, and can be used in attics and crawl spaces without an ignition barrier. In case of a fire, once the flame is removed from the spray foam, the insulation will not propagate a flame. This superior fire performance eliminates the need for addtional protection materials and provides a new standard for fire safety. INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY PROMOTING A GREEN FUTURE Agribalance merges our high-performing open-cell spray foam insulation with natural, renewable oils. This allows architects, builders, contractors, and homeowners to achieve new standards of performance, quality and energy efficiency. With a high R-value of 4.45 at 1 inch, Agribalance seals cracks and gaps in attics, ceilings and walls, minimizing extraneous noise. Agribalance is a three-quarter pound density foam that reduces air leakage, improves energy efficiency, and reduces moisture intrusion and outside contaminants such as dust, dirt, and allergens. As a result, builders can generally install smaller, more energy-efficient HVAC systems and achieve similar or superior comfort compared to traditionally insulated structures which require a larger, less efficient HVAC system - resulting in higher energy costs.

11 OPEN-CELL EASY INSTALLATION - LIFELONG EFFICIENCY Sealection 500 is a half-pound density, open-cell spray foam insulation with an R-value of 3.81 at 1 inch. It expands 120 times its liquid volume to insulate and seal all cracks and gaps with a single application, making it easy to install and finish. Sealection 500 is spray-applied using water as the blowing agent, and does not contain CFCs, HCFCs, or ozone-depleting chemicals. Unlike traditional fiberglass insulation, Sealection 500 will maintain its performance over time. It will never deteriorate or decompose due to time or temperature. It has an R-value of 7.4 at 1 inch, and a density of two pounds. Our unique formula incorporates 14% renewable and recycled content (recycled plastic bottles and renewable oils) to create our high-performing spray foam. This polyurethane insulation combines multiple control layers into a single application, saving both time and money in construction costs. In a single application Heatlok creates a specialized engineered building envelope, which provides better thermal resistance, an excellent air barrier, and a recognized vapor retarder, making it the ideal choice for commercial, residential, and multi-family construction.

13 POLYUREA COATINGS ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGY PROVIDING ENERGY-EFFICIENT SOLUTIONS Maxguard is our line of elastomeric polyurea coatings, which provide many advantages due to their durability, flexibility, high resiliency, chemical resistance, and versatile application. Our Maxguard products contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), can be applied in both high and low temperatures, as well as on vertical, horizontal, or angled surfaces to provide a monolithic containment barrier for all types of substrates. Maxguard products are available in several colors with factory added pigments and dyes, (and, when necessary), an aliphatic topcoat is recommended for UV stability to manage minor color changes or superficial oxidation. INTUMESCENT COATINGS EASY INSTALLATION - LIFELONG EFFICIENCY Blazelok TBX and Blazelok IB4 are non-flammable, non-toxic, intumescent coatings approved for use on top of Demilec s various spray foam insulation products in walls, attics, and crawl spaces. Blazelok s primary function is to starve a fire, by keeping oxygen from reaching the spray foam. Demilec has completed NFPA 286 testing with Blazelok TBX and has been approved as an interior finish system in accordance with the IRC and IBC, and omits the code s prescriptive thermal barrier requirement. In addition, our Blazelok products meet LEED, AQMD, and EPA VOC requirements.

14 ARCHITECT TO ARCHITECT Heatlok is one of my favorite and most specified products. It can be incorporated into various construction types and locations. I have also used their Demilec APX and Sealection 500 products commercially for sound attenuation purposes.
