Plan & prepare Identify & select hand, power & pneumatic tools Use tools safely Identify, select & use plant & equipment CPCCCM2008A- Erect and Dismantle Restricted Height Scaffolding This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding (to a height of 4 metres) to provide work platforms for various occupational applications. It includes placement of safety barriers. Erect scaffolding Inspect, repair and alter scaffolding Dismantle scaffolding CPCCCM1006A- Work Safely at Height This unit require that you demonstrate the ability to work safely on construction sites where the work activity involves working above 1.5 metres from ground level and where fall protection measures are required. Set out sub-floor frame Install timber bearers Install timber floor joists Install flooring CPCCCA3004A Construct Wall frames This unit of competency requires that you demonstrate the ability to plan, prepare, set out, construct and erect load bearing and non-load bearing wall frames for the different types of loadings determined by the roof top and bracing configuration involving both timber and metal frames. CPCCCA3006A- Erect Roof Trusses This unit of competency requires that you demonstrate the ability to select, set out, erect and brace timber and metal roof trusses to accommodate roof coverings for waterproofing purposes. 3 CPCCCA3005A- Construct Ceiling Frames To plan, prepare, set out, construct and erect ceiling frames to accommodate ceiling joists, hanging beams, strutting beams and composite beams. It includes selection of members and setting out of the ceiling frame in conjunction with the roof members. Workplace Tasks Locate ceiling joists. Install hanging beams. CPCCCA3007A- Construct Pitched Roofs This unit of competency requires that you demonstrate the ability to select, set out, construct and erect pitched roofs to accommodate roof coverings. It includes scotch valley, gable, hip and valley, broken hip and valley and combinations thereof. Set out and prepare members for pitched roof erection including scotch valley, gable, hip and valley, broken hip and valley Erect roof Install under purlins, collar ties, struts and valley boards. CPCCCA3008A- Construct Eaves This unit require that you demonstrate the ability to prepare, set out and construct eaves, including the cutting and fixing of fascias and barges to provide a finish between the wall and the roof. It includes boxed eaves and the finish to gable ends.. Install fascia and barge. Construct framework for eaves or soffits. Line and clad eaves and soffits.. CPCCCO2003A Carry Out Concreting To Simple Forms This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to safely install formwork, reinforcement and place and finish concrete for the construction of minor slabs, pathways and other minor works to a specified design finish. The unit includes positioning the truck, placing concrete from truck to work area, spreading concrete and cleaning up site.. Erect and strip simple formwork. Place and tie reinforcement. Place concrete.. CPCCCA3018A- Construct, Erect and Dismantle Formwork for Stairs and Ramps Construct, erect and dismantle formwork for stairs and ramps to form up the concrete that may involve one or more flights in order to provide access between floors and/or landings. It includes timber, metal or prefabricated formwork.. Set out formwork. Assemble and erect formwork. Strip formwork.. 3 P age of 6
4 CPCCCA3009A- Construct Advanced Roofs This unit includes demonstrating then ability to plan, prepare, set out and construct pitched roofs on irregular plan building shapes which may have skewed, splayed or hexagonal ends. It includes such roofs that include dormer windows and may be of gable, hip, hip and valley, or combinations of these. Set out and prepare members for roof erection (must include a hip end other than square on plan i.e. hexagonal or octagonal) Erect roof Install roof support including under purlins, collar ties, struts and valley boards CPCCCA3001A- Carry Out General Demolition of Minor Building Structures This unit requires you to carry out general demolition work of minor building structures to facilitate alterations, extensions and additions to a building. It includes work being completed to a work schedule, plans and specifications. Demolish minor building structures safely and in accord with job requirements CPCCCM2002A- Carry Out Excavation This unit requires you to undertake hand excavation tasks and excavations requiring the assistance of plant machinery to form excavations for footings, and the provision of services.. Locate excavation site and erect safety equipment. Dig excavations.. CPCCCA3010A- Install and replace windows and doors This unit require that you demonstrate the ability to plan, prepare, set out and install window and door units, and to replace window and door units to different types and styles of buildings for access, security, weather proofing and replacement of defective windows and doors. It includes timber and metal window and door units.. Install window units to frame. Replace window units/door frames. Prepare door opening, and construct and fix jamb. Install door and door unit.. CPCCCA3017A- Install Exterior Cladding This unit includes demonstrating then ability to install material finishes applied to an external framed wall surface for the purpose of weatherproofing and securing the building. It includes sheet material, weatherboarding of timber, plastic, metal and fibre cement sheet.
