2 MAGNETIC 4 WEEK SITE PROGRAMME BOARDS Steel Bits Magnetic 4 week programme boards are designed to circulate information between contractors and sub-contractors. SOUTH WEST / By design, it is easy to use, easy to update and easy to understand, making it a really useful tool to keep on top of a busy site. The board itself is a dry wipe graphic overlay on a 1220mm x 900mm magnetic whiteboard and it comes as standard with, 600 descriptive magnets as shown, chosen from a pdf sample sheet ed through following an enquiry. The magnets come in a plastic storage box, similar to the one shown which has a company logo on the lid. The picture below shows a board in use, which allows the men on the ground a chance to see the programme each day when they sign in and inform the management of completion times. All magnets are standard sizes to fit a 4 week site programme, From design, to manufacture, all we will require from you is: Your magnet description, colour, design and individual quantities, by completing a simple spread sheet we will to you and your company logo. 3 MAGNETIC TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLANS From design, to manufacture, all we will require is: A clear black and white pdf site copy plan showing site entrance from the main highway internal site roads, plots and plot numbers the less detail the better for viewing on site. Whilst we do need an original site outlay, it s always useful to have a scanned copy, We need the development name and address and high resolution copy of your company logo. 4 STATIC WRAP POLYTHENE Static Wrap is a clear polythene roll statically charged on 1 side for easy, multi-purpose covering within the construction industry (the inner surface as folded on the roll has the static charge) SOUTH WEST / Ideal for covering up kitchen units, sinks and toilets, following build clean on new houses, with no need for masking tapes to hold in place. The static polythene attracts dust, so keeps the previously clean items from becoming covered in dust, saving further cleaning. No need to use masking tape to hold coverings on, saving extra cleaning and protecting the customer s belongings before they move in. Great for maintenance work, customer care & covering home owner s belongings whilst repair works are carried out. Attracts atmospheric dust by design. LINDEN

5 TELESCOPIC STAIRWELL PROTECTION The telescopic handrails are easy install in screw down floor pins, fixing through the floor boards, into noggons fitted below, as pics 1, 2 & SOUTH WEST / When closed the handrails are 1.1m in length as pic 4 and extend to 1.8m where they lock out for safety as pic 5 making fairly universal to fit a variety of stairwells as pics 8, 9 & Each telescopic rail can be removed easily, as pics 6 & 7 allowing easier access for loading large items, such as plasterboards and slotted straight back onto the floor pins when loading is completed, meaning no excuses for leaving the stairwell open and unsafe!!! Covering larger openings is easy to manage, using 2 of our telescopic rails. Pics 8, 9 & LINDEN

6 GENERATOR DRIP TRAY S Our generator drip trays are made from light weight steel sheet with a yellow powder coated finish for a very ridged construction. The approximate overall size for transporting is, L 700mm x W 550mm x H 100mm. The approximate internal floor size to fit your generator is, L 640mm x W 500mm x H 100mm. Each tray is fitted with an internal depth gauge, to highlight the size or quantity of spill absorbent materials required to clean up any spills that may occur. A maximum level is identified, so be sure to check that your generator does not exceed the 16 Litre maximum containment, which would be approximately 14 litres, remembering the tank size, plus 10% rule!!!!! The top edge of the tray is folded over to minimise the risk of sharp edges. All corners are welded firm for a safe seal and strength. As with all tools, we advise daily inspections prior to use. You must always use the correct fuel can, with a purpose made funnel when refuelling your generator and the fuel can must also be safeguarded against leaks. SOUTH WEST / LINDEN

7 110v STAIR SAFE SOCKETS The 110v Stair Safe Socket is designed to minimise the risks associated with slip, trips and falls from height, plus Electrical hazards from pinched cables. 1 2 SOUTH WEST / Pics 1 & 2 show the cables running from portable generators, through door openings to power electrical tools and lighting in houses under construction. Doors constantly opening and closing will pinch and eventually slice cables making them unsafe for use. 3 4 Pics 3 & 4 show examples of cables running up stairs flights within houses, to power tools and lighting on upper floors. This creates a trip hazard on every step on the way up and down the stair flight whilst loading in materials, or managers inspecting operatives on site. Pics 5 6 & 7 show the pre wire of the 110v cable, wired along beside cables from the external meter box. 8 110v STAIR SAFE SOCKETS 8 9 The 110v Stair Safe Socket is designed to minimise the risks associated with slip, trips and falls from height, plus Electrical hazards from pinched cables. Pics 8 & 9 show a pre wired socket, fitted prior to the sacrificial joist being removed to fit the stair flights. This means that from carpenters, through to 1st fix electrics and plumbing, plaster boarding & plastering / drylining and second fix trades, cables can minimised, with one or 2 stair safe sockets fitted to ground or upper floors SOUTH WEST / Pics & 12 show the stair safe socket in use whilst drylining works are carried out. The 1st fix electrical wiring is already in place, fitted by simply removing the stair safe socket whilst wiring takes place Pics 13 & 14 show the final operation for the stair safe box, following all second fix trades, the socket is then removed, to be used in the next available plot. The stair safe socket is designed to minimise risks and fits tightly within a standard galvanised double socket back box, meaning that there is no making good when its finally removed.
