1 CEMCO is Proud to Introduce an Innovative Steel Floor Joist System Sure-Span is a new, innovative, cold formed steel floor joist system designed to speed up construction as well as provide architects, engineers, and builders with more flexibility in final design. These benefits will reduce overall labor, architectural, and engineering costs for your project. The Sure-Span System will accomplish this in five major ways: The reinforced holes in the web speed up the installation of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services by eliminating the need to cut or drill holes resulting in reduced labor cost. The rim track is furnished with clip angles located at the designated joist spacing, which expedites the installation of the floor joist. Various types of clip angles can be installed on the rim track to meet different loading conditions, allowing versatility in the design. The rim track comes with half-pierced screw pilot holes in the flanges to facilitate attachment to top of wall and the joist flanges. Sure-Span Rim Track SSRT The embossing in the track web conceals the screw heads, thus reducing material build-up. Exterior and Interior sheathings require as much as 0% more material to eliminate the offset surface left by the sheathings used on shear walls. integrates normal gypsum board products and requires no leveling. Eliminates labor costs of installing gypsum board on interior shear wall surfaces. 's gypsum board facing is ready for finishes. Straps and gusset plates on shear walls are labor intensive and leave surface irregularities ( layers of steel and hex head screws) that often result in deformities on interior walls. leaves no surface irregularities. Tension straps and cross bracing are difficult to install without sagging or loose fit. walls require a tight and flat application for product performance per Code and engineering. lays flat on the studs surface with no sagging.
