11 Transport strategy To maximise the safe, efficient and sustainable movement of people and materials required for the HPC project. The developments and commitments will provide long term and sustainable legacy benefits for the local community from new infrastructure. 11

15 Local supply chain We are working with the Somerset Chamber of Commerce to maximise the opportunities for businesses in Somerset to get involved in the delivery of NNB. At Hinkley, we have already awarded more than 60 million of contracts to over 150 south west businesses. 15

16 Commitments from our supply chain To succeed we will require a supply chain that: buys into the EDF Energy construction workforce development vision co-operates fully with the Employment Brokerage, making their construction vacancies available to local people participates pro-actively in the skills agenda and outreach to the local community acts as best in class suppliers in terms of their commitment to workforce development, equality and inclusion treats workforce development as a key performance requirement, with targets to achieve and exceed. 16
