2 CITY OF INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI NOTICE OF AWARD OF PRICE AGREEMENT Cast Ductile Iron Pipe, Fittings and Valves # GENERAL INFORMATION FOR CAST DUCTILE IRON PIPE, FITTINGS AND VALVES Price Agreement All items are to be priced F.O.B. destination. 2. Price to remain firm for a period of one year. 3. Purchase orders will be issued on an as required basis throughout the price agreement period. 4. All pipe, fittings, and valves to meet A.W.W.A. standards. 5. All pipe, fittings, and valves to be push-on joints, unless item noted otherwise. 6. All pipe and fittings to include all necessary accessories. 7. All push-on pipe to include lubrication. Lubrication must be delivered in quart-size containers. 8. All plugs to be setscrew type. 9. All deliveries are to be made between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Drivers are to contact City personnel, giving twenty-four hours advance notice prior to delivery. 10. Pipe, valves, and fittings (in quantity) must be delivered in stake-side trailers. Palletized material (two pallets or less per delivery) may be delivered in van, etc., if on tail of trailer. Express or tailgate deliveries accepted on other products. 11. All pipe and fittings will be awarded to only one vendor for compatibility purposes. 12. All valves will be awarded to only one vendor for compatibility purposes. 23 TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Upon acceptance by the City of Independence, Missouri, a bid and the purchase order issued thereon shall constitute a contract. Items furnished shall be in strict conformance. 2. The City reserves the right to reject all or part of any bid, to waive technical defects in bids and to select the bid(s) deemed most advantageous to the City. The City shall consider bids submitted on an all or nothing basis if the bid is clearly designated as such. 3. bid will be analyzed, and the award will be made on the basis of the lowest price with the best value. 4. Whenever the name of the manufacturer or the vendor is mentioned in the request for quote or request for bid and the words or equal do not follow, it shall be deemed that the words or equal shall follow such designations unless it is specified no substitutes. The City may assume that items bid are equal or it may request samples and proof thereof and unless approved before shipment, City reserves the right to return at the bidder s expense all items that are not acceptable as equals, said items to be replaced by bidder with satisfactory items at the original bid price. 5. Bids may also be obtained by contacting the purchasing official identified on Page 1 of this Invitation to Bid. If you obtain this bid by any means other than those identified, you will not receive addendums, disqualifying you from the bidding process. 2. If the item bid has a trade name, brand and/or catalog number, such must be stated. 3. Bids shall indicate the unit price extended to indicate the total bid; in event of an error in extension, unit price shall govern, except when the bidder clearly indicates that total price is based on consideration of being awarded the entire lot. 4.
