Exhibition sectors at BAU SAVE THE DATE BAU 2019 features materials, technology and systems for commercial and residential construction and interior work for both new-build and modernization and renovation on more than 200,000 square meters of exhibition space. It covers the complete range of state-of-the-art technology in the international construction industry. Exhibits are broken down according to building materials, products and themes. BAU 2019 Date: Jan 14-19, 2019 Aluminum Aluminum profiles / systems Machines for aluminum and steel work Facade systems Long lasting, corrosion resistant and recyclable are catchphrases that all apply to aluminum. That is why this metal is suitable for uses in a variety of applications. Due to its stability, aluminum is frequently used for shade elements, but it is also used for window profiles. Besides product solutions such as aluminum profiles, facades and sunshade systems are also on display in this exhibition sector. BAU-IT Software Hardware Measurement technology BAU has developed into the largest show for building software in Europe. Several exhibitors will present the latest developments on future trends such as building information modeling and mobile solutions. New assessment 1/8

and computation tools give planners effective support during the conceptdevelopment and implementation phase. Besides software tools for design planning, visitors can also expect a wide range of IT solutions in the fields of measurement technology, tendering, contracting, invoicing, project planning, project management and controlling. Chemical building products / Construction tools Plasters / Varnishes / Paints Adhesives Protection against heat, cold, fire and noise Insulation materials Seals Chemical building products are particularly relevant when it comes to topics such as energy-oriented renovation, sustainability and energy efficiency. That is why environmental and health aspects have such a significant impact, especially on the development, production and use of chemical building products. However, this exhibition sector also features insulation materials, fire-prevention solutions as well as plasters, varnishes, paints and adhesives. Chemical building products and solutions are omnipresent used in a wide range of applications in construction. Floor coverings Elastic Textile Parquet Laminates Moldings and profiles Decking panels The exhibition sector for floor coverings always features a wide range of new products when it comes to elastic and textile flooring as well as parquet and laminates, moldings and profiles and floor-laying technology and equipment. Another focal point: Sustainability and ecological compatibility. When dealing with this topic, one maxim always applies: More colors, more texture, more décor. Roof building materials / Bricks 2/8

Bricks Roof tiles Chimney-building materials Roof-building materials Dormer windows / Skylights Roofing membranes This sector features the most diverse range of product solutions for roofs including dormer windows and skylights as well as roof- and chimney-building materials. Energy / Building systems / Solar technology Air-conditioning technology Ventilation technology Solar building / Solar thermal energy Solar technology plays an increasingly important role in the operation of buildings. Home automation is the term used to describe the optimum coordination of producing your own electricity and consumption. Intelligent control units are used to start heating systems and appliances based on available energy supplies and prices. Besides innovations in solar energy and solar building, BAU's manufacturers also present the latest developments in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology. Tiles / Ceramics Tiles / glass tiles Ceramics Sanitary technology / fittings Facades Accessories Ceramics are tried-and-tested building materials that have always been in style, because ceramics still have a great deal of innovation potential. Ceramic tiles that offer almost unlimited design alternatives thanks to the latest generation of digital printing techniques are a good example. 3/8

Another trend: playing with the third dimension thanks to plastic reliefs. Naturally, the entire range of sanitary objects and sanitary technology is also represented in this sector. Building automation / Control Building automation / control Lifts Glass Glass building materials Glass facades Glass structures Foils The growing use of glass in modern architecture is associated with new possibilities and challenges. Effective protection against the sun, for example, continues to increase in importance. Other topics include insulation against heat and noise and light direction. Besides solutions for energy-generating systems and facades, manufacturers at BAU will also present the latest developments in glass building materials, foils and glass structures. Wood Wood materials interior work Stairs Timber construction Veneers Facades Accessories Prefabricated wood construction continues to open up new prospects in building. The first high-rise buildings made of wood were introduced at BAU 4/8

2015. However, other innovations such as interior work, stairs and floor coverings are also presented in the wood sector. Another interesting attraction for visitors attending BAU: New developments in wood materials, facade systems and accessories. Stone / Cast stone Stone Cast stone Facade systems Floor coverings Stone is the oldest building material in the world. Due to its origin, it is nontoxic and sustainable. At the same time, stone meets modern demands when it comes to aesthetics and quality of life, and the material is both durable and affordable. Every stone is unique: The wealth of colors and diverse range of possible surface finishes make stone the perfect material for use both indoors and out as a floor covering and on facades. Locks / Fittings / Security Locks Cylinders Fittings Anti-intrusion systems Automatic door technology Access control systems Accessories For many users, the security of one's apartment, home or property is extremely important. Which is why the range of manufacturers' solutions in this sector is correspondingly large. And why visitors attending BAU can expect a wide range of information and products for locks and accessories as well as anti-intrusion systems, electronic access-control systems and access convenience. Steel / Stainless steel / Zinc / Copper 5/8

Profile / Structural steel systems Facade systems Stainless steel Zinc and copper surfaces / systems The wealth of applications for steel and stainless steel in the building sector ranges from urban infrastructure and bridges to flood and earthquake protection, high-rise buildings and intelligent facades, lightweight steel construction as well as residential, industrial and commercial construction. Architects, engineers and the tradesman who work with these materials can gather information about them in Hall B2. Stones / Soils / Building materials and joining solutions Stones / Soils Sand-lime brick Concrete / porous concrete Pumice / fiber-cement building materials Dry interior finishing Prefabricated building Plasters Screed Insulating materials The exhibition sector for stones and soils features the entire range of solutions for facade systems, dry interior finishing and prefabricated construction. It is the perfect place to gather information about all possible materials including sandlime brick, pumice and fiber-cement building materials, and insulating materials. This sector places special emphasis on the latest developments in areas such as sustainability, energy efficiency and new, innovative design possibilities. Natural and artificial lighting concepts Solar shading systems Daylight deflection Light strips / skylights Artificial lightning concepts... 6/8

Gate / Parking systems Parking systems Gate systems Gate and door drive technology Automatic doors and gates are being built more frequently and not just for buildings used in industrial and commercial operations or in the medical sector. A growing number of private builders also appreciate the convenience of electronic systems. The next logical step is to adapt access-control systems using electronic systems. Alarm signals, central locking and the ability to operate windows and doors via the Internet are additional security issues. Doors and windows Wood Aluminum Plastic Glass When it comes to doors, designs that are barrier free, safe and user friendly are in great demand. Which is why the zero-millimeter threshold that is required for barrier-free access is an important topic, particularly with regard to water tightness during heavy rain storms and thermal bridges. In the window segment, child safety plays an important role. Products should not only be shatterproof, they should also prevent children from falling out or being crushed. Another important factor is preventing condensation by using well-insulated window frames in conjunction with triple glazing and a warm edge. Manufacturers at BAU will present door and window solutions using a variety of materials such as wood, plastic, glass or aluminum as well as roller blinds and sunshade systems. Investing in the future Renovation and modernization Research and grants Institutes/Associations/Service companies This sector, the motto of which is investing in the future, revolves around the future of the German construction industry, future professionals, young people and new companies. After all, they represent the future of building in Germany. Various research institutes have stands in this sector. However, the 7/8
