Bose, Secretary Federal Energy Regulatory Commission 888 First Street, NE Washington, D.C Re:, Docket No. CP Weekly Status Report Dear Ms. Bose: On August 25, 2017, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ( FERC ) issued an Order Issuing Certificates and Granting Abandonment ( August 25 Order ) in the above referenced docket authorizing ( NEXUS ) to construct and operate the NEXUS Project ( Project ). 1 On September 12, 2017, NEXUS submitted its Implementation Plan for the Project. 2 A) UPDATE ON FEDERAL AUTHORIZATIONS: No updates on Federal Authorizations occurred during the reporting period of January 13, 2018 to January 19, B) SUMMARY OF CURRENT AND UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION: CURRENT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Construction contractors working on the NEXUS Project continued mobilizing equipment, installing resource signage, installing environmental best management practices, and continued site preparation and grading activities. Tree felling continued on Spreads 1 and 4 this week. Tree felling began on Spread 3 this week. Mainline construction activities are occurring on a portion of Spread 4. General Environmental The environmental inspectors continued providing the required environmental training to construction personnel on each construction spread, prior to the personnel mobilizing to the right-of-way. Environmental compliance inspections of ongoing construction activities continue to occur throughout each work day. Storm water inspections are occurring on a weekly basis and after the occurrence of a 0.5 inch or more rainfall event. Spread 1 Environmental resource signage installation continues to occur ahead of tree clearing activities. Mechanical tree clearing activities continue to occur. Tree clearing has been completed for 34.4 miles or 63 percent of the project route within Spread 1. Erosion control device installation, safety fence installation, rock access pad installation, hydro-vac utility location, wetland matting installation and stream bridge installation continues to occur in areas of active tree clearing. Spread 2 Tree felling has been completed for 77 miles or 99 percent of the project route within Spread 2. Log removal and chipping of the felled trees will occur in early Spread 3 Rock access pad installation and hydro-vac utility location occurred. The contractor continued mobilizing into the wareyard. The contractor began mechanical tree felling activities. Page 1 of 5

3 Spread 4 Erosion control device installation, hydro-vac utility location, rock access pad installation, wetland matting installation and stream bridge installation continues to occur in areas of active tree clearing. Mechanical tree clearing activities continue to occur. Tree clearing has been completed for 43.3 miles or 93 percent of the Grading has been completed for approximately 11.2 miles or 24 percent of the project route within Spread 4. Pipe stringing has been completed for approximately 10.8 miles or 23 percent of the Pipe bending has been completed for approximately 9.2 miles or 20 percent of the project route within Spread 4. Welding has been completed for approximately 10.5 miles or 22 percent of the project route within Spread 4. Coating activities have been completed for approximately 8.2 miles or 18 percent of the Trenching activities have been completed for approximately 1.4 miles or 3 percent of the Lowering-in activities have been completed for approximately 1.3 miles or 3 percent of the Backfill activities have been completed for approximately 1.2 miles or 3 percent of the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) of the Hydro Park crossing was completed this week and pipe pull back was successfully completed. Site preparation and rig set up activities occurred at the location of the Highway 12 HDD. Site preparation activities, including sound wall installation, occurred at the location of the Interstate 94 HDD. Compressor Stations Grading and foundation form work continued at the Hanoverton, Wadsworth and Clyde compressor station sites. Preparation for deliveries of equipment and building structures continued to occur at the Hanoverton, Wadsworth and Clyde compressor station sites. Metering and Regulation Sites Site recontouring and piping installation continued at the 01 metering and regulation site. Several equipment skids were delivered at the 02 and 03 metering and regulations sites. Site preparation, excavation work and concrete foundation pouring occurred at the 04 metering and regulation site. The 05 and 06 metering and regulation sites have been winterized. Additional construction work will occur in the spring. Page 2 of 5

4 WORK PLANNED FOR THE NEXT REPORTING PERIOD: Spread 1 Rock access pad installation, utility location, environmental best management practices installation, resource signage and tree clearing activities will continue, except within the city limits of the City of Green, Ohio. Environmental and safety training will continue to occur. Spread 2 No work is planned in Spread 2 during the next reporting period. Spread 3 Rock access pad installation, resource signage installation and hydro-vac utility location will occur. Mechanical tree felling will occur. The contractor will continue to mobilize into the wareyard. Environmental and safety training will continue to occur. Spread 4 Rock access pad installation, environmental best management practices installation, tree clearing activities, road bore installation, HDD, welding, coating, trenching, lowering-in and backfill activities will occur. Horizontal directional drilling activities associated with the Highway 12 and Interstate 94 crossings will occur. Environmental and safety training will continue to occur. Compressor Stations Grading and foundation work will continue to occur at the Hanoverton, Wadsworth, and Clyde compressor station sites. Permanent storm water drainage control installation will continue to occur at the Hanoverton Compressor Station. Metering and Regulation Sites Piping installation and foundation work will continue to occur at the 01, 02, and 03 metering and regulation sites. Site preparation and excavation work will continue at the 04 metering and regulation sites. Page 3 of 5

5 CHANGES TO STREAM CROSSING SCHEDULE: None. SCHEDULE FOR WORK IN OTHER ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREAS: No work will occur in other environmentally sensitive areas during the next weekly reporting period. C) PROBLEMS/INSTANCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE ENCOUNTERED: No instances of non-compliance occurred during the reporting period of January 13, 2018 to January 19, D) CORRECTIVE ACTIONS IMPLEMENTED: Not Applicable. Sheriff reviewed documentation and concurred that NEXUS has a legal easement to work on the property. G) CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED FOR NON-COMPLIANCE AND RESPONSE: None. No correspondence for non-compliance was received by NEXUS from any federal, state, or local permitting agencies during the reporting period of January 13, 2018 to January 19, H) NSA NOISE MEASUREMENTS AND MITIGATION FOR HDDS: No noise measurements were taken at Noise Sensitive Areas during the reporting period of January 13, 2018 to January 19, OTHER: As indicated in the September 28, 2017 request to proceed with construction, NEXUS notifies the Commission that a landowner agreement has been obtained on the following tract: OH-WO Page 5 of 5
