This part of the project, Phase 1, includes the upstream gas gathering system with over km of HDPE water and gas pipes, plus over km high voltage and low voltage electrical and communication network, associated with over 1100 well sites. As Senior Construction Manager conducted constructability reviews, unit rate analysis, design reviews on a regular basis and construction supervision of Tier 1 contractor. July 05 March 07 Moura Coal Mine Expansion Moura, Central Queensland Position: Construction Manager with ECM Contractor Approximately A$ 1 billion, initially Area Manager and then, from September 2005, Construction Manager with ECM contractor Parsons Brinckerhoff. Reported to Project Manager in an Integrated Anglo Team. Responsible for a team of 10 persons involved in the supervision of Building and Civil Contractors with a budgeted scope of works of approximately A$ 160 million. Scope includes 288 room expansions to existing single person quarters, new 500 room construction camp (including mess and other ancillary requirements) $36 million Mine Industrial Area offices and workshops, constructing Highway intersection works, new haul roads; dump stations, general earthworks and 36 km of water pipe lines and H V power lines. 6 Nov 04 July 05 Hail Creek Coal Mine Expansion Project West of Mackay - Central Queensland Position: Area Manager with EPCM Contractor Rio Tinto s Hail Creek Coal Mine expansion project, approximately $ 360 million. Area Manager (Civil and Infrastructure) and Senior Project Engineer (Design) with EPCM contractor Sinclair Knight Merz. Reporting to Construction Manager. Responsible for supervision of Contractor constructing A$ 3 million coal co disposal area and return water dam. Also responsible for supervision of contractors involved in all other civil works and camp building program. Design of new haul roads. May 04 Nov 04 Highlands Kainantu Limited Gold Mining Project - PNG PNG Engaged as: Senior Project Engineer Position: Senior Project Engineer Reporting to Construction Manager. Responsible for supervision of Contractor constructing A$ 4 million tailings dam, responsible for supervision of contractors involved in camp building program. In addition direct control of a team of 20 building personnel including supervisors and tradesmen. Oct 03- May 04 Goro Nickel Project Brisbane Project Office with Extension to Site Position: Senior Project Engineer Senior Civil Engineer Design and Construction working on site with Goro Nickel SA at their Nickel mine and process plant in New Caledonia. Responsible to Construction Manager for preparation of technical reports, design associated with US$ 2 million interim works program and other work as requested. 7 Brisbane Office Position: Senior Civil Engineer (Inco) $US 1.8 billion total project value. Significant roles and areas of involvement included: Deputy Study Manager Civil Engineering, Quantity Review Team (February to March) Carried out in association with the Study Manager, a review of quantities in the previous project estimate and established new benchmark quantities; Prepared planning and scheduling activities for Quantity reviews and monitored team progress against agreed schedule. Deputy Study Manager Civil Engineering, Design Review Team (March to June), Port and Infrastructure Carried out, in association with the Study Manager, a review of the previous design for the Port and associated infrastructure; My team was responsible for creating an alternative design for the Port and associated infrastructure. Combined savings, including Bulk Liquid and Solids handling facilities, amounted to approximately $US30 million. Supervised marine and geotechnical sub consultants. As Deputy Study Manager, Port, Infrastructure and Services (June to October) participated in the development of an Early Works program in the following areas: Civil engineering design input into Services, Sewerage Design, Fire Water and Potable Water distribution, Bulk Fuel Storage in conjunction with Lead Piping and Mechanical engineer. Civil engineering input into Quarry development, reactivation of Concrete Batch plant, the construction wharf and associated laydown area. Planning and schedule development of all associated activities necessary to complete this component of the Early Works program. Assisted Project Manager, in the preparation of BOOT expression of interest and scope of work, document for the Port Bulk Liquids and Bulk Solids Infrastructure. Assisted Project Manager in the preparation and assessment of tenders for the transportation of the Acid Plant pre-assembled modules to site in New Caledonia. This included assessment of required Civil Engineering works and the preparation of cost estimates to carry out the work. 8 Brisbane Office Position: Senior Civil Engineer (Bechtel Technip Hatch) Responsible for creating and updating the earthworks mass balance for the project. Area Civil Engineer for the civil engineering design associated with the Port area, Bulk Liquids and Bulk Solids. Directed designers. Designed major drainage system around Port Yard. Supervised geotechnical sub consultants assessment of sedimentation pond requirements. Assisted the Permitting group with production of relevant drawings and commentary for inclusion into Permit applications. Also acted as one of two liaison engineers between the Engineering group and the Permitting group.
