The product range offers effective protection for people, machinery, buildings and infrastructure in places where forklift trucks or other vehicles are used. FLEX IMPACT helps avoid costly machine downtime, expensive repairs and, more importantly, the consequences of human injuries due to accidental collisions in the work place. 4 TECHNOLOGY Highly innovative, extremely impact-resistant and eco-friendly Before Impact After Still too often iron and steel are used in industrial safety barriers, posing significant threats. The materials deform with every collision (resulting in expensive paint jobs, repairs or replacements), fasteners are torn loose from damaged concrete flooring (resulting in even more expensive repairs), the parts are heavy and difficult to handle, and upon collision their rigidity may cause them to break altogether. FLEX IMPACT is made of thick-walled, reinforced polymer-based (plastic) elements. These elements absorb the impact of a collision and offer better impact resistance, even in case of high collision speeds. The material is flexible, which means it returns to its original shape after impact, alleviating the need for repairs. Why plastic? 11 TRAFFIC BARRIERS Protection against forklift trucks and other vehicle traffic FLEX IMPACT Traffic Barriers were especially designed to protect machinery and buildings against accidental collisions of forklift trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles. They are mainly intended for industrious environments where fast and heavy loads are handled. As opposed to traditional barriers, Boplan barriers are made from a polymer-based material. This makes them strong and extra impact resistant, so that when the material absorbs the impact, fasteners are not torn from the floor and the barriers regain their original shape after the collision. Because of their modular construction, the Traffic Barriers enable phased finishing or limitless extension. After all, collisions can endanger the stability of an entire construction. Our Column Protectors are made out of two parts which are closely installed around the post. 26 TESTED AND APPROVED Independent crash tests as the ultimate proof TESTED AND APPROVED The piece of mind Boplan offers relies on the most advanced testing methods ever used in our field! First, specialized staff perform both static and dynamic tests on both materials and products. Second, we execute realistic field tests on our premises. Finally, our products are subjected to the toughest tests by specialized and accredited crash testing agencies. In fact, Boplan is the first supplier to subject barriers for industrial use to a certified crash test on a racing circuit whereby forklift-trucks crash into our barriers at various angles and at speeds of up to 12 mph. High speed cameras then registered the speeds, impact angles, deformations and precise impact place. All this data has enabled us to manufacture and launch products that exceed even the most severe requirements. All tests showed the barrier withstanding the impacts, as well as no damage to the forklift. In addition, Boplan collaborated with recognized consulting firms and research centers in order to incorporate all retrieved data and develop a special software with the ability to predict behavior, load, impact, deflection, tension and other parameters of our products in the event of simulated collisions. These simulations are not just achieved by mere extrapolation, but rather by advanced data and mathematical logic models created specifically for our products. Thanks to our knowhow, Boplan has been asked to serve as an adviser in helping develop our sector s safety standards. 26

First, CAD drawings are used to make a detailed plan of the areas, machinery or parts to be protected. This results in an accurate offer and delivery of the parts. If required, we will manufacture customized parts for your application. Depending on your location and project, you can chose to have our own team of professionals or preferred partners perform the installation and maintenance, or you can elect to take care of the installation and maintenance in-house. For important instructions on installing our products, please see our installation manuals. A detailed preparation, execution and control of every project always results in the safest and most efficient protection, fully in accordance with your specific needs. That is why BOPLAN will always suggest to perform the installation at your premises. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE All our products are used in extremely stressful environments. This policy allows us to grant a two year warranty that our products conform to all specifications and are free from any defects in materials and workmanship, and any installation services that we provide.
