6 REVIEW PROCESS THE PROCESS Leppington Living is here to help you with choices about the architectural style and colour schemes so your new home sits in harmony with other homes in the estate. We have set up a design panel which is a free service to save time and cost when designing your new home. STEP 1 Purchase your lot and save time by designing your new home before your lot is registered. STEP 2 We have a design solution for each lot and you are welcome to use these designs on your lot. You may also change the floor plan to suite your needs. STEP 3 If you are using your own design then ask your builder or architect to use the design guidelines and the building envelope plan to design your new home. You will need to obtain a Building Design Guideline Approval from us before you apply for building approval with Council or your certifier. STEP 4 If you choose one of our designs, the review process is much simpler but you still need a Building Design Guideline Approval from us. STEP 5 To obtain a Building Design Guideline Approval, submit your plans to the Leppington Living Design Review Panel. We will provide feedback or a Building Design Guideline Approval in 5 to 7 days. STEP 6 Once you have your Building Design Guideline Approval, you are ready to submit plans for final approval to Council or certifier. Submissions to the Leppington Living Design Review Panel are to include: Siting plan, floor plan, elevations, roof plan, landscape plan, schedule of external colours and finishes and driveway finish.
