American Warming and Ventilating's Engineering Department operates a comprehensive research and development program that directs the design of new products and improves existing products through re-engineering. As a result of this ongoing program, the performance and appearance of our complete line of extruded aluminum louvers has been significantly improved. EXTRUDED ALUMINUM STATIONARY DRAINABLE S Our Model LE-31 louver has been the industry's performance leader for many years. Through design improvements, air flow through the louver has been increased by 25%, from 935 fpm to 1,250 fpm. The LE-33 offers an economical yet outstanding performing design. The large blade spacing offers an aesthetically pleasing look when "wider" sightlines are required. Likewise, the LE-21 offers a relatively large blade spacing. Both models have the traditional drainable blade louver design and have served as the basis of design in a variety of schools, hospitals and commercial office buildings. 3 EXTRUDED ALUMINUM STATIONARY NON-DRAINABLE S The high performing LE-27 has a 56% free area. This non-drainable louver is perfect for exhaust applications where a minimum amount of space is available. In short, the LE-27 allows a greater amount of airflow through a smaller louver opening. "Standing the Test of Time" is an excellent way to describe the LE-47. Initially designed in 1957, the LE-47 is the epitome of a conventional blade louver. The only changes made during its tenure are the new drainable head and the optional "K" blade design (LE-48). This gives the tenant the option to close the louver while still giving the stationary sight lines from the exterior of the building. 4 THIN LINE S Thinline louvers are ideal for applications where unlimited frame depth is not a luxury. Also, like most of our louvers, the thin line louvers easily adapt to most curtain wall and window framing systems. When limited depth installations are required, the LE-58 offers drainable blade performance in a thin line louver. Furthermore, the LE-58 is available with continuous blade construction. WIND-DRIVEN RAIN S American Warming and Ventilating has developed Wind-Driven Rain Louvers to counter the problem of wind-driven rain damage. The LE-67VWD is a vertical blade wind-driven rain louver that provides Class A protection against the damaging effects of rain penetration and is AMCA Standard 500-L-99 certified. The LE-59HWD is a horizontal blade wind-driven rain louver that provides Class A protection against damaging effects of penetration.
