4 1. Introduction TB Plate Chain Gravel Bucket Elevator has an opening bin below for storing material, when the motor driving the endless chain (chain or belt) through the chute, the hopper fixed in the chain of plate (chain or belt) bring the material to the discharging opening, in this way it continuously convey the material. It adopts plate sleeve roller chain as the traction components, gravity type discharge material. Apply to middle, big block etc grinding material, which density is less than 2t/m³. Material temperature is less than 250, capacity can reach 395m³/h, lifting height is approx. 5~50m. Vertical bucket elevator are highly resistant to wear and can be placed indoor as well as outdoor. 1

Working Principle The bucket is filled with material and is conveyed to the head terminal, and then the material is thrown from the outlet under the action of centrifugal force according to the parabolic design. The driving device drives pulley to operate the sleeve roller chain in circular motion from bottom to up. After discharging, the empty bucket is back to the boot by conveying and be filled again, and then lifted up to do parabolic motion such repeated cycle. The material is lifted from bottom to the top to the specified height to reach conveying vertically. 3

10 5.1 Head Section & Drive Device Equipped with orbit, backstop and discharging outlet with rubber plate in head section. Drive device is driven by a variety of combinations and can be customized according to customers requirements. 7

11 5.2 Middle Section TB series bucket elevator adopts plate sleeve roller chain as the traction components, gravity type discharge material. According to customers different requirements to the height, number of middle casing to meet the need. 8

12 5.3 Tail Section It consists of the bottom of the chassis, driven shaft parts and tension device. The side doors of casing are inspection doors, used in inspection on and cleaning its internal. 9

13 6. Maintenance & Safety Instruction (1) Before removing Bucket Elevators covers or drive guards to attempt any repairs or adjustments, shut off and lock the line disconnect switch. (2) Before running he elevator makes sure all guards are in place, inspection doors are closed, and safety devices are connected and operational. (3) Make sure Bucket Elevator is secure before operating. (4) Always keep children away from Bucket Elevator when operating. (5) The motor controls and reset button must be located so that the operator has a full view of the entire operation. (6) During regular operation of the Bucket Elevator, one person should be in a position to monitor the operation. A second person should always be nearby to shutdown the Bucket Elevator in case of an emergency. (7) Make sure everyone that is not directly involved with the operation is out of the work area before beginning the operation. (8) Keep the work area clear of grease, oil, water, and other objects that could cause a slipor a fall. (9) Make sure all safety devices, shields, and guards are in place and are functional before beginning the operation. (10) Shut off power to adjust, service, or clean the Bucket Elevator. (11) Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from moving parts. It is a good idea to remove all jewelry before starting the operation. (12) Visually inspect the Bucket Elevator periodically during operation for signs of excessive vibration, loose fasteners, and unusual noises. 10

14 7.Troubleshooting Abnormal noise occurs during operation The equipment must be stopped at once to see whether any ware parts loosening or big lump blocking. Cleaning and alteration should be made when above problems found. 11

15 Tail Tensioning Method TB series bucket elevator generally adopts heavy hammer tensioning method as the heavy hammer increased the weight of head pulley and accelerated head pulley wearing. 12

16 8. Installation Requirements (1) It must ensure that the bearing surface of tail wheel bottom of plate chain bucket lift is located on the basic level, and leveling the flange top by using frame leveler. (2) The upper drive shaft and lower tension shaft should be in the same vertical plane, and two axes should be parallel to the horizontal plane. (3) There should not have significant dislocation of the flange connection of the intermediate casing. It can put in cotton rope or waterproof canvas to make sure the seal. (4) The lower section, the intermediate casing and the upper section of the center line should be on the same vertical line and the verticality deviation is no more than 1 mm in length of 1 meter, total cumulative deviation of height is no more than 8 mm. (5) The position of hopper connected to the traction chain should be correct, connect and tighten hopper and tortoise plastron of traction chain in bolt. (6) The rail section of plate chain bucket elevator should be installed at the bottom of the hoist in partial.
