Question : The precast Cable Trench specified Ulticon precast trench model# UW4772TR cannot be sourced. Please provide a local supplier or an approved alternate. Answer :. Drawing E-000, Section J: Replace the text ULTICON PRECAST TRENCH MODEL UW4772TR with text UTILICON PRECAST TRENCH MODEL# UW4772TR. 2. UTILICON PRECAST TRENCH MODEL# UW4772TR is available. 3. The pre-cast trench will be provided by the cable bus manufacturer. It is necessary that the cable bus manufacturer design and provide the pre-cast trench to ensure that the cable size and ampacity rating is correct. The contractor shall supply and install the complete cable bus systems, including pre-cast trenches. The complete cable bus systems, including pre-cast trenches, shall be designed and provided by the cable bus manufacturer. Question 2: Since Halifax Water has already issued a Tender for the Generator sets and has awarded this contract to Atlantic Tractor and Equipment. We request that an allowance for the Generator Sets be provided by Halifax Water. Answer 2: No allowance will be provided on the tender form. Request for Proposal #P4.206 Tender for supply of switchgear calls for the successful bidder to include delivery of equipment SPECIFICATION MAY, 206 B SECTION B TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS. SCOPE OF WORK. Design, manufacture, test, deliver DDP site, and off-load at job site, and provide a written guarantee for one (), 600 V, 3200 A, 3 phase, 3 wire, indoor, metal enclosed switchgear assembly complete with associated protection, control and metering equipment, accessories and special tools. Yet in Tender T22207 it also calls for the contractor to arrange and pay for delivery of the switchgear..2 Contractor Responsibilities:. Designate submittals and delivery date for each product in progress schedule..2 Review shop drawings, product data, samples, and other submittals. Answer : As per the Detailed Scope of Work in Section 0 00, the contractor shall be responsible for the paying the cost and coordinating the delivery of all equipment for the project, including the owner supplied switchgear assembly. For information concerning the switch gear, the bidders can contact Parmida Lajevardi, Project Manager with Powell (phone: , Parmida.Lajevardi@powellind.com). Question 2: 8 gauge roof cladding is only available in bare galvanized stock (galvalume and factory paint not available). The thickest gauge Vic West and most other manufacturers offer is 22 gauge. Will you accept 22 gauge? Appendix A Section 5.4 Roof and Ceiling states the exterior roof surface shall be a maintenance-free 8-gauge minimum galvanized steel, standing seam roof panel system with 3 height minimum interlocking ribs designed to be water-tight with minimal air infiltration and provide a 30-year minimum service life. Answer 2: The gauge of the steel can be 22 gauge and 24 gauge for sections and respectively providing that both still meet the 30 year minimum service life. Please note that the building foundation has been engineered, and therefore the building size should be based off this. Question 3: 8 gauge exterior wall cladding is only available in bare galvanized stock (galvalume and factory paint not available). The colour shall be one of the Vendor s standard colours to be selected by the Owner. Answer 3: The gauge of the steel can be 22 gauge and 24 gauge for sections and respectively providing that both still meet the 30 year minimum service life. 6 Question 4: As there is no specification for the Emergency Generator Quick Connect Switchboard then this item will be to Contractors Discretion? Answer 4: The specification for the Emergency Generator Quick Connect switchboard shall be as follows: Generator Quick Connect Switchboard 600V, 200A, 3P, 4W, CSA C22.2 No.3 approved, CSA Type enclosure, complete with 200AF/200AT/65kAIC rated N-Frame main circuit breaker, colour-coded Cam-type plug receptacles plus mechanical lugs for generator cable connections, Eaton Pow-R-Line C construction or approved equivalent. Attached with this addendum is a product brochure as information. A signed copy of each Addendum must also be included with the bid submission. The Eaton Quick Connect includes Cam-type receptacles, standard mechanical lugs, a dedicated generator-service disconnect, and a manual key-interlock transfer scheme.
