Wire Walls Wire Walls are ideal for fast and economical installation using cost-saving wire components and select backfill materials. They easily accommodate curves, angles, or steps and the facing and soil reinforcing mats may be adapted to allow for the installation of culverts, bridge piles, or other site requirements. Wire Walls can be installed with an exposed wire surface only or they may be designed to accept a variety of finishes, such as grass, vegetation, shotcrete and precast panels in a two-stage design. Wire mats on below-grade base. Backing mat, fabric, drainage, first lift. Next lift, second wire mat series. Select stone fill added to face section. Precast Panel Walls Precast Panel Walls use precast panels with galvanized steel wire mats to reinforce a retained soil mass. This technically-sound and well-proven system is composed of alternating layers of soil reinforcement and select backfill to create an extremely stable reinforced structure that is easily adaptable to meet the structural and aesthetic demands of today s infrastructure projects. Panels are available in a variety of sizes, colors and textures, as well as custom designs. Leveling pad poured in below-grade base. Precast panels, braces and alignment pins. Loop hooks on back tie into wire mats. Mats secured to imbeds with connection pins. Two-Stage Precast Walls Two-Stage Precast Walls provide strong advantages where poor foundations or soft soils and significant settlements are anticipated but the aesthetics of precast panels are desired. The wire wall is constructed first and sits until the target settlements are reached. Then, the precast panels are erected on their own leveling pad spaced off the wall face and attached by a system of adjustable hooks and turnbuckles. The void is then hydraulically filled with granular material or grout. Panels are available in a variety of sizes, colors and textures, as well as custom designs. Wire Wall, but with fabric at face. After settlement, leveling pad is poured. Hooks integrated to wire face. Hook/turnbuckle system connects to wall. Repeat previous steps for other lifts. Cap mats hook into last face panels. Mats can be adapted to integrate structures. Backfill, guiderail and paving added. Fabric added, ready for the next lift. Next lift and bearing pads added. Panels, fill lifts and mats continue. Coping, rail system and road surface added. Sequential precast panels and pins. Completed assembly ready for granular fill or grout. Granular fill or grout hydraulically added to void. Coping, rail system and road surface added.

5 Wire Wall finish options Wire Walls may exhibit a wide variety of finishes, ranging from a natural, exposed wire and rock finish to grass, vegetation, shotcrete or precast concrete panels in a two-stage design. Temporary wire walls, with black steel and filter fabric at the face, are also available. Precast Panel finish options Today s precast concrete panels are pushing the boundaries in design and performance. Although many panel types, sizes and finishes are available, one of our Technical Sales Representatives can also work with your project team to customize colors, textures, shapes, sizes and performance options for all types of applications. Wire Walls can be finished to satisfy many architectural or environmental requirements.
