No-58 LP (Kelo River) at C: 16/839Km, 61 LP(ROB) at Ch: 17/475Km & 62 LP (ROB) at Ch: 18/010Km Section-I (Earth work in Formation ) 1 Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth upto 30 cm measured at a height of 1m above ground level and removal of rubbish upto a distance of 50 m outside the periphery of the area cleared. 6 5 Dismantling Brick work masonry manually / by mechanical means including stacking of Cum ,52, serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material upto a lead of 2Km including loading, unloading & stacking as per direction of Engineer-in Charge: The rate shall include cost of labour, tools & plants & other incidental charges as complete work in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-charge 6 Removing all type of hume pipes and stacking within a lead up to 1000 meters including earthwork and dismantling of masonry works around pipes complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. - a) Up to 1000 mm dia Meter , Earth work in filling in railway/road formation for, guide bunds, around buried type abutments, bridge gaps, trolley refuges, rain bunds, if provided, platforms etc. in layers not more than 30cm compacted thick with contractor's labour, material, crew, fuel etc.as per profile and specification in all types of soil, other than black cotton soil from outside the NTPC land boundary entirely arranged by the contractor at his own cost as per RDSO's latest guidelines and specifications and special condition of contract including all leads, lifts, ascents, descents, handling/rehandling, crossing of nallahs or any other obstructions. The rates shall include breaking clouds, spreading & dressing of bank to final profile etc as a complete job but excluding compaction. 7 8 Supplying and Spreading of approved Cum ,18, quality of blanketing material in railway/road formation in layers not more than 30cm compacted thick as per IR Specifications and RDSO's guide lines GE:G1 July 2003/as per MORTH specification, inclusive of all taxes, royalty, transport charges, handing, re-handling, dressing of the formation including making good all undulations. The rate is inclusive of surfacing & leveling to give required slope, benching, if required on existing bank slope, dressing and finishing of bank, all lead & lift, ascent, descent, crossing of nallahs / other obstructions, spreading the material and final dressing of slopes and top surface as per specified camber using contractor s own machinery, equipment, T&P, labour etc. as a complete job but excluding compaction. 9 Extra for mechanical compaction of earth/blanketing material filled in embankment with contractor s rollers of suitable capacity, type and size to achieve specified density as per specification, testing as per IS codes including cost of water, T&P, consumable material and all labour as a complete job. The work is to be executed as per Latest edition of "Guidelines for Earthwork in Railway Projects" issued by RDSO, Lucknow. 10 Providing & laying stone pitching hand packed over ground or bank dressed to section as directed by Engineer in charge. The rate shall include cost of all materials, leads & lifts, taxes, royalty, transportation ascent & descent labour, tools & plants & other incidental charges as complete work in all respect. 13 29 Providing and laying of Filter media with Cum ,75, granular materials/stone crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements laid down in clause of MORTH specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specifications of I.R.C. 78 and 2200 as per MORTH Specification. Total of section-ii of Sch-A= 18,29,02, Section-III ( Bridge Work) 30 Earthwork in excavation for foundations and floors of the bridges, Abutment, pier, RCC box, retaining walls, drop wall, drain etc. including setting out, dressing of sides, ramming of bottom, getting out the excavated material, back filling in layers with approved material and consolidation of the layers by ramming and watering etc. including all lift, disposal of surplus soil upto a lead of 50m, all types of shoring and strutting with all labour and material complete as per drawing and technical specification as directed by Engineer in charge 30.1 All conditions & all types of soil except Cum ,51, rock 30.2 All conditions & all types of Soft Rock not Cum ,55, requiring blasting 30.3 Hard rock requiring blasting Cum ,39, NOTE FOR EARTHWORK IN EXCAVATION: I. Payment shall be made only for the quantity of earthwork to be excavated so as to cover the length, breadth and depth of the foundation (as per approved drawings below ground level) II. 14 III. In case the ground is undulated, it will be the first dressed and no extra payment will be made on this account IV. The quantity of earthwork shall be calculated on the basis of specified dimension of the finished foundation and no allowance shall be made for side slopes etc. The contractor shall however provide adequate slopes, Shoring, Shuttering to ensure safety against slope failure. 31 Leading of cut spoil/excavated earth to approach bank or at indicated places beyond free lead of 50 m with all lifts as directed by Engineer-in-Charge 31.1 Lead beyond 50m upto 1 km Cum ,25, Lead beyond 1Km upto 2 km Cum ,71, Supplying, spreading and filling coarse sand Cum ,04, of approved quality including watering and ramming in foundation, plinth for a require depth as per approved drawing and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The rate includes cost of design of concrete mix, cement, sand, aggregates, admixture, providing of thermocoal at expansion joint, labour, tools & plant, manufacturing of concrete by batching plant, Placement of concrete using concrete pump, compaction, curing of concrete up to specified period in all respect including royalty of aggregates, all lead, lift, crossing road / track etc and finishing complete as per drawings and technical specifications as directed by 14 P a g e

15 Engineer in charge. The contractor has to construct the approach road to site at his own cost, if required. No extra payment will be made for this. The rate includes to provide the suitable shuttering as per the specifications of RDSO Drg/ Bridge Code. 35 Providing and laying in position machine mixed, machine vibrated and machine batched Design Mix Cement Concrete M-35 grade (cast in-situ RCC/CC) for bridge construction of Apron, RCC box, return wall, abutment, pier etc. using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate with screening and cleaning of aggregate and coarse sand of approved quality The rate includes cost of design of concrete mix, cement, sand, 15 P a g e

16 aggregates, admixture, providing of thermo coal at expansion joint, labour, tools & plant, manufacturing of concrete by batching plant, Placement of concrete using concrete pump, compaction, curing of concrete up to specified period in all respect including all lead, lift, crossing road / track etc and finishing complete as per drawings and technical specifications as directed by Engineer in charge. The contractor has to construct the approach road to site at his own cost, if required. No extra payment will be made for this. Cost of steel reinforcement, shuttering & centering shall be paid separately All works upto avg ground level Cum ,81, All works above avg ground level Cum ,78, RCC M-40 design mix with contractor's well graded machine crushed aggregate of size 20mm and below, sand of approved quality Cum ,68, with contractor's staging, form work complete in deck slab, cross girder, end girder, diaphragm, bed block, pier cap, abutment cap, dirt wall, padestral, and at any other places as directed by engineer-incharge etc. of RCC girder as per approved drawings, the rate includes all labour and material with all lift, lead, royalty, taxes etc. complete as required. The contractor has to arrange water with any lead at their own cost. The payment for reinforcement steel will be made separately under relavant items of the tender schedule. 37 Supplying and Laying steel reinforcement MT ,83, Thermo Mechanically Treated- TMT 500/550 in RCC works and surface reinforcement of CC works including straightening, cutting, bending, hooking, placing in position and binding with contractor's binding wire of requisite gauge all complete as per approved drawing & specifications. The rate include cost of all tools and plants, testing etc. All reinforcement steel shall be TMT 500/550 grade procured from primary producers SAIL, TISCO & RINL. 16 P a g e

17 38 Providing and laying in position machine mixed, machine vibrated and machine batched Design Mix Cement Concrete M-25 grade (cast in -situ RCC/CC) for road, Drain etc. using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate with screening and cleaning of aggregate and coarse sand of approved quality The rate includes cost of design of concrete mix, cement, sand, aggregates, admixture, providing of thermo coal at expansion joint, labour, tools & plant, manufacturing of concrete by batching plant, Placement of concrete using concrete pump, compaction, curing of concrete up to specified period in all respect including all lead, lift, crossing road / track etc and finishing complete as per drawings and technical specifications as directed by Engineer in charge. The contractor has to construct the approach road to site at his own cost, if required. No extra payment will be made for this. The large scale manufacturing is to be taken up only when satisfactory performance will be obtained on trial. No drilling, cutting, punching or exposing the bare metal, welding etc. will be permitted after galvanising. VII. 90% of the above rate under item no 36 & 37 will be paid on receipt of Galvanised Steel Channel Sleeper with fittings and fixtures at the bridge site. 10% of above payment will be made after fixing of channel sleepers. VIII. For Payment purpose, actual weight of finished sleeper with all M.S. fittings will be considered. This should however not vary more than 2.5% of nominal weight of sleeper shown in / calculated from standard / approved drawings. IX. All nuts should have self-locking screws threaded inserts (Stainless steel helisert). No extra payment shall be made for this. X. Galvanising of steel channel sleeper with M.S. fittings shall be done by hot dip process of thickness 100±5 microns with zinc confirming to IS: and IS: XI. For all the supplied items the contractor has to give one indemnity bond and shall keep the items in safe custody by deputing

RITES willhave no responsibility on this account for theft, damage, loss etc. Payment will be entertained accounting the material fitted & fixed on the running lines, for the materials paid for but not fixed on a bridge, prorata recovery will be made. XII. Painting of the Galvanized surface adventantly damage due to transportation, if any, welding and drilling holes at site will be done as advised below. XIII. Application of two coats of paints red lead confirming to IS: 102 as priming coats on an approval surface. XIV. Application of two coats of paints Aluminium confirming to IS: 2339 as covering coat as per the approval of Engineer-in-charge. XV. INSPECTION The finished steel channel sleepers and grooved steel plates which are inspected and passed to the work by RITES/NTPC, should only be brought to the work site by the contractor. Material shall be dispatched to site of work by the contractor in full sets i.e. channel sleepers with all matching components fittings complete. The matching components will be supplied duly inspected and passed by RITES in sealed gunny bags. The contractor will have to arrange for RITES inspection at their own cost and will be responsible for furnishing all test certificate during the dispatch of fitting.
