6 OUTLINE SPECIFICATION The Oxford University Press (part of the Oxford University) has a remit to produce a landmark high quality BREEAM Excellent rated building, and to work with a corporate occupier to produce the consented scheme to a final specification, within the normal commercial constraints. Website link: The Pavilion style three storey building is adaptable to single or multiple occupation, the present configuration producing four blocks connected by three service cores which can be designed to create greater internal connectivity and fluidity. The internal specification will provide for the normal working practises incorporating raised floors, ceiling mounted luminaires, and heating/cooling ventilation. Floor areas are shown on the Floor Plans, each block totalling approximately 844 sq m (9,085 sq ft) or 287 sq m (3,089 sq ft) per individual floorplate. Sustainable measures to include photovoltaic arrays, solar shading, rainwater harvesting and potentially heat pump technology.
