4 ABOUT US Strukturas is a highly specialized Norwegian engineering company with its main activities in the area of the steel-related structures and in particular for Industrial Facilities, Offshore Structures, Bridge Structures and Bridge Building Equipment. Strukturas was founded in 1991 as a continuation of Olav Opedal AS, an Aker owned company specializing in construction and mechanical engineering. Strukturas history therefore dates back to the 1960s with long standing traditions and considerable experience. Over the past 20 years Strukturas has become the leading Norwegian Bridge Building equipment supplier providing equipment to over 200 projects worldwide. Whether it is designing steel structures or delivering bridge building equipment, Strukturas prides itself on the production of quality-designed solutions that not only perform as intended but also exceed the client s expectations. Strukturas design team includes in nowadays over 15 engineering and draftsmen specialized staff based in Europe. Different partnerships agreements with steel structure fabrication workshops and labor subcontractors give us the possibility to offer very complete solutions including design, fabrication, delivery, technical assistance and operation of the equipment. 4

Strukturas is located within Norway s largest concentration of industry and therefor design of industrial facilities such as commercial premises, lifting equipment and storage vessels is an important part of our business. Typical assignments for subsea include: suction anchors, gravitation anchors, installation lids for suction anchors, loading buoys, mid water arches, templates and installation structures. Typical assignments for top side include: supporting structure for different equipment, pipe racks, access bridges, crane pedestals, complete skid units including pressure vessel and pipelines, lifting equipment, sea fastening design. 7 DESIGN, FABRICATION AND QUALITY DESIGN AND FABRICATION Regarding design and fabrication of Bridge Building Equipment Strukturas is using normally the following codes: The structural calculations are performed according Eurocode 3, NS-EN-1993 Design of steel structures. The steel structure is done at a CE-certified workshop in China according to the EN-1090, Execution Class II, using Chinese steel quality Q235 and Q345. QUALITY SYSTEM The quality system at Strukturas conforms to ISO The Strukturas quality concept covers more than just working to standards and precise delivery times as quality must also include reliability, ability to co-operate, experience, knowledge, product development and user safety. 7
