5 CONFIDENCE BENEATH THE SURFACE PRE-SLOPED SHOWER TRAY With a 3-pound density, the molded expanded polystyrene (EPS) shower tray is exceptionally strong, offering greater support for the tile covering in shower applications. Designed with an optimal 2% slope, it s also more comfortable to stand on and easily accepts a wide variety of tile shapes and sizes. Despite its strength, this lightweight shower tray easily cuts with a knife, is dustfree and comes in three sizes a 1220mm x 1220mm (48"x48") center drain, a 810mm x 1525mm (32" x 60") center drain and a 810mm x 1525mm (32" x 60") offset drain. BUILD WITHOUT BARRIERS With a 25mm (1") thick perimeter, the pre-sloped shower tray allows easier construction of barrier free showers without unwanted or unnecessary buildup of the surrounding subfloor. At only 125mm (5"), this curb allows for easier shower entry and exit, while creating a sleek upgrade to taller curbs offered by competitors. SHOWER TRAY DISK The CGC DUROCK Shower System comes with a durable ABS shower tray disk that features an integrated, removable subfloor cutout template. BENCHES Made from durable 3-pound density EPS, CGC DUROCK Shower System benches are completely solid and offer superior strength. And because they re solid, they can be cut to virtually any size or shape to accommodate unique applications or jobsite conditions. These pre-sloped benches are simple to install and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including rectangular [810mm x 510mm x 406mm (32"x20"x16")], square [406mm x 510mm x 406mm (16"x20"x16")] and triangular [406mm x 510mm x 406mm (16"x20"x16")]. NICHES Constructed from rugged Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic, these spacious niches are not just ideal for holding shower products and accessories, they re also lightweight and virtually indestructible. Nonwoven fleece co-molded with the ABS plastic structure on the flanges and interior surfaces provides a superior bond to thin-set mortar. Niches are available in both square and rectangular shapes, with opening sizes measuring (350mm x 350mm x 90mm [13-3/4"x13-3/4"x3-5/8")] and [350mm x 560mm x 90mm (13-3/4" x 22"x3-5/8")]. 9 THE PROOF IS IN THE WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE MEMBRANE The waterproofing membrane included with the CGC DUROCK Shower System is part of a truly integrated and fully waterproof system. Not only stronger than many competitors membranes, it s also significantly thinner. This means it is extremely tear resistant, minimizes buildup at seams, is more pliable and is easier to install. It also has an extremely low permeability rating, making it ideal for wet areas, including continuous-use steam showers. ACCESSORIES Utilizing the same state-of-the-art materials as the rest of the CGC DUROCK Shower System, several accessories are available to help you create a truly integrated and fully waterproof system. 11 DRAIN AND GRATE ASSEMBLIES DESIGNED TO FLOW PERFECTLY TOGETHER DRAIN ASSEMBLY The universal design of the CGC DUROCK Shower System drain assembly simplifies installation and stands out for a number of reasons: Accepts both 100mm (4") and 125mm (5") DUROCK Shower System exclusive Designer and Pro Series grates. Accommodates 50mm (2") and 75mm (3") ABS or PVC waste lines, allowing for solvent-weld and no-hub connections. Features a nonwoven fleece on both the top and the bottom of the integrated bonding flange. The fleece on top provides ample surface adhesion for the waterproofing membrane, while the fleece on the underside provides the necessary bonding surface for the mortar that supports the drain assembly. The fleece is co-molded with the ABS drain body to ensure the highest possible permanent bond. GRATE ASSEMBLY The CGC DUROCK Shower System grate assembly provides real adjustability. The grate assembly can be adjusted vertically to match tile thicknesses ranging from 3mm (1/8") to 25mm (1") thick, and it delivers up to 25% more horizontal adjustment when compared to the competition, ensuring the grate and tile layout fit correctly. DESIGNER SERIES GRATES From contemporary to classic, the Designer Series offers a range of stylish choices to fit your unique shower design. Plus, each grate is cut from a solid block of stainless steel or pure copper. The 5mm (3/16")-thick, stainless steel is optimized for high strength and corrosion resistance, and the reflective facets around each opening are meticulously crafted for the most discriminating high-end shower installations. The 5mm (3/16")-thick copper Designer Series grates employ a process by which ORB patina is applied to enhance the natural beauty of the copper. Each facet around the openings uniquely reflects the variations in the copper, imparting a sculptural quality to each grate. PRO SERIES GRATES The Pro Series grates utilize an extremely durable, high impact-resistant, engineering-grade polycarbonate base structure wrapped in stainless steel.
