7 ORD TERMINAL 5 M EXTENSION SITE/CIVIL The civil component of the building extension will include four (4) new hardstand positions, including all site, apron, lighting, security, fueling & taxiway design. Also included are modifications to the pavement area near Gates M1 to M6 for two additional contact gates for future operations. 8 TARGET MARKET CONTRACTS Contracts designated for competition limited to MBEs or WBEs The Target Market Program reserves a percentage of the City s non-construction contracts and limits participation to M/WBEs Contracts are not eligible for the program unless there are at least three qualified MBEs or WBEs interested in participating in that type of contract The prime contractor on a Target Market Contract must perform at least 50 percent of the dollar value 7

20 CDF CONTROL TOWER Construction of a building to serve as a operations control tower for airlines management of their winter deicing operations at the Centralized Deicing Facility. Work may include earthwork, large diameter deep tunnel construction, modifications to mechanical equipment, including an existing pump station. Project may be delivered as design-build. Project site is located in the Air Operations Area (AOA). 23 ATS LOT E STATION DEMOLITION Demolition of the structure and platform of this station, modification of wayside systems, power systems and track work as required and site restoration. Construction will require coordination with and limited interruption of services of the Airport s Transit System Project site is in the current Public Parking Lot E. 25 BESSIE COLEMAN WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT Replacement of approximately 5,000 lf of water main along Bessie Coleman, a connection to the existing 12 service line adjacent to the E Lot ATS Station, and abandoning the existing water main running underneath I-190. Other work items will include: lateral runs to fire hydrants, isolation valves, valve boxes, fire hydrants, cathodic protection and other pertinent items integral to the installation of a new water distribution and/or capping and connections to the existing water main. 26 NORTH AIRFIELD SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT Construction of a sanitary sewer system that will serve the North Airfield buildings. Existing flow that travels NW to the MWRD Kirie Plant will be intercepted and sent to an existing forcemain sewer on airport property near Building 850. That existing pipe outfalls near Mannheim Road where it enters the MWRD Stickney system. A new lift station will be included as well as approximately 6400LF of gravity pipe and forcemain. 27 RUNWAY 9R-27L RWSL INSTALLATION Install approximately 10,000 linear feet of electrical ductbank, handholes, and airfield lighting cable to complete the installation of the FAA Runway Status Lights (RWSL) system for Runway 9R- 27L. A FAA-RWSL shelter to be located adjacent to the existing Runway 27L ALSF shelter will also be installed. A new Com Ed service feed as well as fiber optic cable connectivity to the air traffic control tower will be required to make the RWSL shelter fully functional. 28 MIAMI BEACH LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENT Demolish existing Lift Station and specified equipment, erosion control and paving, site utility installation, including jacked sanitary sewer, excavation and construction of the new Lift Station Facility in the SW corner of LOT B, electrical and communications duct bank installation, SMS installation and tie-in, and C1 Electrical Vault Switchboard replacement and lighting upgrades. 29 BAGGAGE SERVICE ROAD RETAINING WALL REPAIR Repair the Baggage Service Road Retaining Wall from approximately Guard Post 7 to Guard Post 10 (excluding Terminal 2). Scope will include the drilling of piles to support the wall footing; concrete and crack repair; cap replacement; new underdrain system; select stem replacement; cleaning and repainting and replacement of conduit and circuitry to roadway and apron lighting. 30 RING AND UTILITY TUNNEL CONCRETE REPAIRS Phased approach to address the areas in need of structural concrete repair in two utility tunnel locations. Scope varies from spall repair, cathodic protection of reinforcement to entire beam replacement. This project will address the 2 nd Phase in the program. 31 PEDESTRIAN TUNNEL REPAIRS Remediation of water infiltration throughout the pedestrian tunnels below the concourses and roadways. Scope also includes interior remodeling and updating of pedestrian tunnels. New finishes will allow for a back-up drainage system as a second line of defense to any possible water migration through the tunnel structure. New energy efficient lighting and mechanical distribution is included. Project area extends into the area of the tunnels under the Hilton for finishes continuity. 32 I-190 LIFT STATION REPLACEMENT This project consists of improvements to the existing Taxiway Lift Station. Work includes removal and replacement of existing ventilation, pumps, valve, motors, motor starters, wet well control panel, associated piping, and electrical infrastructure. The project also includes Supervisory Monitoring System (SMS) integration, upgrades to the facility's lighting control, replacement of an existing "ship's ladder", and installation of a wet well concrete liner and partial depth concrete repair. 33 REPLACEMENT OF ROTUNDA AIR HANDLING UNITS Replacement of 11 Rotunda Air Handling Units. Recondition of the existing ductwork. The new, efficient, code complying units will serve the environments that require different temperature controls, air movement, cooling capacities, heating capacities, with separate multi-zone controls to reconnect to existing ducting. 34 RECIRCULATION BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION The project includes the replacement of the three-span entrance roadway recirculation bridge and associated ramp and approaches for the structure. 35 TERMINAL AREA FIRE MAIN REPLACEMENT Relocation of the terminal area fire main loop including approximately 7000 lf of 12 fire main, 1500 lf of 8 hydrant fire main and 32 fire hydrants. New alignment will minimize impacts to traffic by locating portions of the loop within the commercial vehicle lanes. Medians and center lanes will be reconstructed within the terminal area to meet ADA and will include new sidewalks and utility replacements. Approximately 2,500 lf of ComEd ductbank will be included to replace an existing ductbank that is at risk of failure. 37 MDW AIRFIELD LIGHTING INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS Installation of a new duct bank system that will provide a more efficient way to maintain airfield electrical system. This will include new duct bank runs to provide more direct routing of circuits, the installation of new manholes and hand holes that minimize the need to access Runway and Taxiway safety areas during maintenance, replacement of aging cabling, and additional capacity to handle future improvements. This project also includes new fiber optic duct bank in the SW corner of the airfield. 38 MDW AIRPORT MAINTENANCE COMPLEX IMPROVEMENTS Replacing the HVAC for the garage with an energy efficient system, replacing the overhead doors and associated hardware, an upgrade to the emergency generator and switchgear, and the replacement of the boilers with more energy efficient boilers. Expanding and replacing the potassium acetate pumps and tanks to allow for a total of 90,000 gallons of onsite storage. The project also includes replacing the roof membrane, an upgrade of the windows, replacing the HVAC system in the office area, replacement of the emergency egress doors and hardware, and improvements for ADA accessibility. 39 Residential Sound Insulation Program (RSIP)

40 ON-CALL A/E SERVICES FOR THE RSIP On-call architectural and engineering ( A/E ) design and consulting services for the RSIP for O Hare and Midway. Federally-funded. DBE participation of 30% required. Services may include, but are not limited to: making at least two site visits per home, computer-aided design and drafting, developing window and door schedules, preparing specifications, and reviewing submittals and code requirements. 41 O HARE PHASE 17 HISTORICAL HOMES Sound-insulate 133 historical dwelling units in single-family homes and multifamily buildings in the Chicago Norwood Park Historical District near Harlem Avenue and Higgins Avenue. Work to include installation of approximately 2,600 acoustical window treatments, 2,600 storm windows, 260 acoustical prime door treatments, 260 storm doors, 20 central air conditioning systems, upgrades to electrical service and other miscellaneous work.
