5 Final Bidder Q&A ID Question Answer 1 Is there a specification on landscape edging? IU does not allow metal landscape edging on their campuses. Install spade edge per detail 1, Sheet L600 Appendix C Insurance Requirements, page 12, Additional Insureds says the Owner and Contractor, their directors, officers, employees, subsidiaries and affiliates, and any other parties as designated in the contract documents shall be listed as Additional Insureds. Can you tell me how many entities will need 2 to be listed as Additional Insureds? Two - Skanska and Evansville HealthRealty 3 Is there a Cover Sheet for the drawings? I wasn't able to find one in the documents provided. BP 32 C-Who is responsible for cleaning the existing asphalt pavement in the area that get wedging and overlaying? Also, who is responsible for saw cutting the edge of the pavement that stay in place, before 4 the wedge and overlay? BP32C Hot Mix Asphalt Paving 5 BP-32C-Is the 3/4" Rolled Bituminous Setting Bed part of BP-32C? BP32B Site Concrete and Amenities For the asphalt on BD-32C bid form says paving based on three mobilizations, but the schedule has four 6 mobilizations. Which one is correct? Include 4 mobilizations Bid package 32A lists interior landscaping and irrigation within scope items but no interior landscape plan was seen. Is there any landscaping inside the building to be included in this bid package? 7 There is no interior landscaping BP-32C-I was going back and forth from C1.0 & C0.0 and some of the grades aren't adding up. Looking at the C 1.0, the bottom quadrant, between the middle and top parking lot. The three grades I am assuming that the box is the amount needed to raise the elevation of the parking lot. These grades don't seem right compared to the existing grades on C0.0. I haven't been through all the parking lots yet, but these stuck out to me. Are the +/- numbers in the boxes correct to raise or lower the parking 8 lot with asphalt pavement. Through Civil 3D we can pick from a surface existing elevation at the locations we show final grades. The numbers published with a plus are the thickness required at this location based on the surface. If thicknesses are significant, the BP32C can cut this section out and replace with new pavement as called out on the plans. Can Santarossa Mosaic and Tile be approved as a precast terrazzo supplier in section ? 9 As long as specified standards are complied with On page A910 in the drawings, the terrazzo flooring description says it is to be vitrified and describes the process of polishing to 200 grit and then applying a sealer. To achieve a vitrified finish, you must have a 10 diamond grit finish up to 800 grit. Can this be clarified in an addendum? Vitrified finish is not required. Provide add alternate to provide vitrified finish. The terrazzo spec p.8 does not mention terrazzo vitrification but says the terrazzo is to be 11 polished to a 120 grit finish. Please clarify if a terrazzo vitrified finish is desired. Vitrified finish is not required. Provide add alternate to provide vitrified finish. Terrazzo Section p7e. describes using a crack suppression membrane only at substrate cracks. 12 Does the owner want it only at the cracks or 100% coverage at all terrazzo flooring? Provide only at cracks per specifications. Provide add alternate for 100% coverage. The terrazzo spec p.7 D Calls for using a moisture control vapor barrier, if the concrete substrate fails the pre-installation moisture testing or if the concrete incorporates lightweight aggregates. Can we include this as an allowance to keep it out of our base bid price in case it is not 13 required? Provide as allowance in case it is not needed based upon field testing to manufacturer's specifications. In the terrazzo spec p 5 describes the precast base as a portland cement base. The Finish Product List sheet A910 describes the TZB1 as epoxy terrazzo. should the base be cement or epoxy. Can we price the base as a 4" high epoxy precast straight base? (without a cove where it meets the 14 floor) Epoxy is allowed. Straight base is allowed. Base color and appearance to match floor. Page 1 of 2

6 Final Bidder Q&A ID Question Answer Is it correct that the monumental terrazzo stair 1 goes only from the 1st to the 2nd floor. And the terrazzo stair 5 goes from the 3rd to the 4th floor with no connection between the 2nd and 3rd floor? Correct, there are two internal communicating stairs as noted, 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th. They do not 15 connect. BR-32C-Section Asphalt Paving-Is the contractor responsible to include the cost for Smoothness and Field Quality Control cost in their bid or is this cost going to be paid for by the owner? I am Owner will not be providing smoothness and filed quality control for asphalt. BP32C's quality control 16 referring more to the cores and smoothness testing. We do our own quality control testing in our lab. should be sufficient to satisfy the specifications In both Terrazzo flooring and precast terrazzo specifications, the specifications call for the contractor to both provide and maintain final protection. This is a bit vague and could be interpreted several ways. Can we get this a little more specific. My suggestion would be to provide full "Ram Board" or similar coverage on the terrazzo flooring, and to cover the stairs with plastic and barricade them to prevent 17 traffic. Suggestion is acceptable The room finish schedule shows rooms 1999K and 1999L to have walk off mat flooring with terrazzo base. The plans have dividing lines on them that look like maybe some terrazzo flooring was intended 18 for part of these vestibules. Can you clarify? Both 1999K and 1999L are walk off mat flooring only. No terrazzo in these vestibules. Page 4 of the bid form has a list of items the Bidder certifies they agree to and include in their proposal. Signing of Skanska's Standard Form Subcontract Agreement without exceptions is the first item. This agreement refers to the prime contract between Skanska and the Owner. Can you provide a copy? Can 19 a list of the bidder's exceptions to this agreement be submitted with our proposal? Please advise. A redacted copy of the Owner Agreement can be viewed at our jobsite office via appointment on sheet A630, elevation 7, and sections 17 and 6 show what looks like new porcelain wall tile. The finish plan 901A, and the finish schedule show EXT. Porcelain on the walls in vest For the North wall of 1999L match the exterior wall section in this area. The porcelain tile product is L. Is this existing porcelain or new? If new what product? I do not see it on the finish Product List. shown and specified under the exterior skin material. EXT is exterior in this case. 1999L does not have TZB (terrazzo base). Base is curtain wall or porcelain tile. 1999K is to have TZB at Vestibules 1999k and l call for TZB (terrazzo base). most of the walls are curtainwalls wall locations that do not have curtain wall. This would be at elevator wall, stair wall and next to entry 21 and the details do not show TZ base. (A630) which walls are to recieve TZ base? to Reception In reviewing the wall sections, I'm seeing reference to "fluid applied membrane air barrier" but I don't see any specification for it. Can you please advise? 22 Is specification section Fluid Applied Membrane applicable to your situation? The precast Terrazzo treads are specified as Epoxy Terrazzo, and shown as 1.5" thick. When we budget priced this job, we priced Cement Terrazzo Precast Treads. They would be virtually indistinguishable from epoxy terrazzo treads, but would be 2" thick instead of 1.5" requiring a small alteration in the steel design. The savings would be significant. (over $10,000) Can we price the cement terrazzo precast treads 23 Price the precast terrazzo treads as specified for base bid and provide an alternate for any deviation. Page 2 of 2
