13 Elevated Water Reservoir for Irrigation system AT THE INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS, AUAF General Notes: 1. Foundations of this building has been designed for a bearing capacity of 1.0 kg/cm2. 2. R.C.C should have cube strength (200 kg/cm2). 3. Steel bar should have yield strength fy = 40 ksi (2800 kg/cm2). 4. All main bars are deformed bars and secondary bars are plain mild steel bars. 5. Mortars should be as follows. Mortar for CMU masonry 1:5 (cement : Sand). P.C.C for filling CMU masonry 1:2:4 (cement : Sand, crushed agg.). Plaster 1:5 (cement : Sand). Pointing 1:3 (cement : Sand). 6. Crushing strength of CMU should not be less than 100 kg/cm2. 7. All masonries and concrete should be cured wet at least for two weeks. 8. Aggregate should be clean and well graded and maximum size of coarse aggregate should be 20 mm. 9.
