4 II. DRAWINGS Delete the following drawing and substitute the enclosed drawings. (Note: The drawings contain no new scope, only clarification of missing keynotes.) LC-1 LC-5 Ll-1 Ll-4 LP-2 LC-4 LC-6 Ll-3 LP-1 LP-3 Sheet No. E2.1, add telephone/data outlet to center of wall between classrooms 1 and 2 on the classroom 2 side. Sheet E2.1, delete telephone/data outlet in kitchen. Sheet E2.1, add a dedicated quad outlet to the cable tray in the Telecom room, location to be determined. Sheet E2.2, add a dedicated quad outlet to Telecom cabinet, location to be determined. Sheet E2.2, wall between Staff and Multipurpose, move power and telephone outlets to east side of door. Sheet E3.2, ceiling in Child Restroom is gyp 8' aff. Light fixture should be the same as fixture in child restroom E3.1. Sheet C1.0, the following information is in reference to the note regarding the removal of existing carport support columns and footings and note regarding the removal of existing screen wall and footings, between Building A and Building C. Prior to this demolition a temporary construction fence must be placed in the existing playground at Building A to protect children from entering the construction site. The fence installation must be constructed on a Saturday when the playground and Building A are not occupied. This will need to be coordinated with the Early Childhood Education Center Director. Demolition of the existing structures may also need to be completed on a Saturday. II I. CLARIFICATIONS 1. QUESTION: Is steel an acceptable substitution for wood frame? ANSWER: All framing is wood framing; steel will not be approved as a substitution. 2. QUESTION: On sheet LC-1 key notes & notes all call out scope and have N.1.C. (not in contract) at the end of the note. Is GC to exclude these items? For example note 23 calls for New Shade structure per material legend and detail N.l.C. Is GC responsible for footings of structure? ANSWER: NIC items are excluded from the bids. These are owner furnished, owner installed. UCSD-FD&C Page 3 of 4

5 3. QUESTION: C1.1 shows decorative throughout southeast area from the corner of bldg B to the back of bldg C and at the north end between bldgs A & C. The landscape plan shows chain-link fencing. Which is correct, chain link or decorative in these locations? ANSWER: decorative. The fencing referenced in the above RF/ is chain link, not 4. QUESTION: Plans I spec do not show door finishes and hardware finishes. Please provide spec. ANSWER: Doors & frames to be painted as indicated on door schedules. Color to be selected by University Representative. Hardware to be stainless steel lever handled. 5. QUESTION: Please provide model # & manufacturer for acoustical ceilings. ANSWER: Ceiling tiles to be equal to Armstrong 24" x 48", 518" thick, fine fissured, white. UCSD- FD&C Page 4 of 4
