SCOPE OF THIS ADDENDUM: The following becomes a part of the original project manual and drawings, taking precedence over the items that may conflict. The bidder shall note receipt and make acknowledgment of the Addendum on his/her bid form, incorporating its provision in his/her bid. PROJECT MANUAL: The following additions, changes and clarifications have been made to the Project Manual. Section Water Utilities: 3.15 DISINFECTION 3.15 B. 1. c. Delete first sentence and TABLE in its entirety. Replace with: c. The tablet or continuous feed methods shall give a dose of at least 50 ppm available chlorine, rather than 25 ppm dose specified in AWWA Standard C651. 3 Addendum #1 (cont d) 3.17 MAINTAINING WATER SERVICE Add: B. When temporary watermains and water services are used, the following requirements must be met: 1. The temporary watermain piping shall meet the National Sanitation Foundation Standard 61. The temporary watermain shall be disinfected in accordance with AWWA C 651, with the exception that a minimum chlorine residual of 50 ppm shall be used. 2. The temporary water service line shall meet the National Sanitation Foundation Standard 61. Otherwise, the service line material must meet the requirements of the Plumbing Code, Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4714, and must be approved by the manufacturer for above ground use. 3. The watermain and service lines must be tested for bacteriological quality prior to use in accordance with AWWA Standard C The temporary water service lines must be disinfected in accordance with either AWWA Standard C 651 (with the exception listed above), or the Minnesota Plumbing Code, Minnesota Rules, Chapter DRAWINGS: The following additions, changes and clarifications have been made to the Drawings.
