It is intended that all work affected by the following modifications shall conform to related provisions and general conditions of the Contract of the original drawings and specifications. Modify the following items wherever appearing in any drawings or sections of the specifications. Acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 4 in the space provided on the Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject to disqualification. GENERAL CLARIFICATIONS Item No. Description Of Clarification The Geotechnical report was posted to ARC on November 18, 2015 and is available for Bidders. The SWPPP Report has been posted to ARC on November 18, 2015 and is available for Bidders. Allowance A-2: Mobile Storage Shelving : This allowance encompasses all costs for procurement and installation of the storage system by the owner through the contractor, including materials, tax, freight and installation at prevailing wage rates. The Contractor shall coordinate all necessary trades to provide a complete installation as required by the contract documents. Refer to Keynote on Sheet A2.01 and Specification Section Mobile Storage Shelving Notice Calling for Bids, Specification Section : Replace item 5. with the following Subcontractor Performance Bonds. Subcontractor Performance Bonds are not required by the District. Instructions for Bidders, Section : Delete item 10.3 in its entirety. 4 RFI QESTIONS AND RESPONSES RFI No. Q/A (NOTE: RFI responded to in Addendum 01 Dated November 16, 2015) 008 Q: Can you please inform me when the soils report will be released for the above mentioned project? See Clarification Item 1.0 on Addendum Q: Could you please provide dimensions and elevations for section Mobile Storage Shelving. Also referenced in this section are drawings A2.11 and A2.12 that are not with the drawing package. See Clarification Item 3.0 on Addendum Q: Drawing Sheet A6.00 uses PT3 (Wall Accent Tile) for the Floor Finish, and PT4 (Floor Tile) for the Wall Base. Please confirm that this is the intent. See revised A6.00 Finish Schedule. 011 Q: The Door Schedule on Sheet A6.01 lists Type C & D doors with Glass (GL) for core and panel materials. Only in one case, opening #108A, it is listed with hollow core insulated with hollow metal framing. Please clarify the Type C & D doors with GL cores and panel See revised A6.01 Door Schedule. 012 Q: Section Alternative 1A Perforated Metal Screens & Alternate 1B Corrugated Metal Screens. Will the bid form be reissued to accommodate these Alternate bid items? Alternates were removed in Addendum Q: 014 Q: Section Item #5. Please confirm that all subcontractors less than ½ of 1% will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. If a subcontractor claims it can provide the required bonds and are listed on bid day and then subsequently fails to provide such bonds, will the prime contractor be allowed to substitute the subcontractor? Per Section #5 and Public Contract Code 4107, the successful Bidder shall replace the non-responsive Subcontractor without adjustment of the Contract Price or the Contract Time. Gas riser diagram pipe sizes on Drawing P4.01 are not the same as pipe sizes shown on Drawing P2.05. Please clarify. Gas riser pipe sizes have been updated. See updated P Q: SOG Detail on Sheet E7.01 shows a rigid insulation under the vapor barrier. This is rigid insulation is not shown in the 5" or 6" sections of SOG in sheets S2.01 or S2.02. Please clarify. Rigid insulation is not required. See updated E Q: 021 Q: Sheet L1.1 shows sidewalk paving along East College Circle, across the street from and north of the main project site. Neither sheets C2.0 nor C4.0 shows any demolition or earthwork where this sidewalk occurs. Please confirm that demo and earthwork is by others, so NIC for this contract. If it is part of this contract, please provide details and section cuts for demo and earthwork. Revised limit of work line for work to be performed by the district and their contractors. See updated Sheet L1.1. Also, please provide section and details for paving to show interface with existing concrete, roadside conditions (does it include a gutter/swale) and landscape interface. No new details issued as work will be performed by the district and their contractors. 022 Q: The Bid Form lists 3 Alternates. Section has no mention of these Alternates. As to Alt. A-1 and A-2, please issue a more complete description of the scope of work that is covered by these Alternates, including what is to be included in the base bid for these items if anything. Alternates were removed in Addendum Q: The carwash equipment (CW-1) is scheduled on P0.2. It is described to have an 8-ft boom arm. What clearances are required around this boom. The clearances for the boom is an additional 1' on top of the 8' arm. 024 Q: 025 Q: A hose trolley was listed. The CW-1 does not include a hose trolley. Please provide specification for this trolley. Please provide attachment details. Per manufacturer all Hotsey pressure washing systems includes a trolley system. CW-1 comes with an exhaust flue. How will this be routed.
