3 PREAMBLE TO SCHEDULE OF RATES 1.0 The shall be read in conjunction with all other sections of this Bidding Document. 2.0 The CONTRACTOR is deemed to have studied the drawings, specifications and details of works to be done within the Time Schedule and should have acquainted himself of the conditions prevailing at site. 3.0 The quantities shown against the various items are only approximate and may vary to any extent individually subject to conditions given in General Conditions of Contract/Special Conditions of Contract. 4.0 claim shall be entertained during currency of this Contract towards any items due to the above including where the CONTRACTOR has quoted low/ high rates. 5.0 EIL/BCPL/RITES reserves the right to interpolate or extrapolate the rates for any new item of work not covered in from the similar items already available in schedule of rates. In case any activity though specifically not covered in schedule of rates descriptions but the same is covered under scope of work/ scope of supply/specification/ drawings etc. no extra claim on this account shall be entertained, since is to be read in conjunction with all other documents forming part of the Contract. 6.0 All items of work mentioned in the shall be carried out as per the specifications, drawings and instructions of EIL/BCPL/RITES and the rates are deemed to be inclusive of material, consumable, labour, supervision, tools & tackles and detailing of construction/fabrication drawings, isometric wherever required as called for in the detail specification and conditions of the Contract. 7.0 EIL/BCPL/RITES reserves the right to cancel/ delete/ curtail any item or group of work if necessary. Such a step shall not be construed as reason for changing the rates. 8.0 Bidders shall quote their prices as percentage variation on total prices. This percentage variation as quoted by the bidder will apply to all work items during execution. 9.0 Bidder shall indicate only the Increase/Decrease on total estimated value in terms of percentage upto 2 decimal places in the Summary of Prices(Form SP-0) sheet. Bidder shall not change the filled rate/ amount indicated in (Form SP-1) The rate for Extended Stay Compensation shall be filled up by Bidder in Form SP-2. 3 P a g e

7 Schedule-A, (Railway Formation Work). 1. Felling trees of girth (measured at a height of 1 mtr. above ground level) Each including lead and stacking of materials within 100 mtr. a)girth over 30 cm and upto 60 cm. 2. Earth Work in filling in embankment guide bunds, around buried type abutments bridge gaps trolley refuges rain bunds if provided platforms etc. with earth excavated from outside railway boundary entirely arranged by the contractor at his own cost as per Cum RDSO's latest guide line and specifications and special condition of contract including all lead, royalty, lifts, ascents, descents, crossing of nallahs, or any other obstructions. The rates shall include all dressing of bank to final profile, demarcation and setting out of profile site clearance, removing of shrubs, roots of vegetations growth, heavy grass, benching of existing slope of old bank, all handling and rehandling, taxes, octroi and royalty etc. as a complete job. Cut trees shall be property of railways and to be deposited in the railway godown unless specified otherwise in the special condition of contract. 3. Earth Work in filling in Rly. formation as Cum per drawing and specifications including leading out and filling in formation in layers with available suitable excavated/dumped earth within the BCPL's railway siding area. The rate includes all charges towards excavation, handling, rehandling, loading, unloading and leading out, spreading in layers and dressing etc up to the required profile as per RDSO guide lines, all labour and material as a complete job. Compaction charges will be paid separately under the item of mechanical compaction sl. no. 4 below. 7 P a g e

Extra for mechanical compaction of Cum earth/blanketing materials filled in embankment with contractor's rollers of suitable capacity, type and size to achieve specified density as per specification, testing as per IS Code including cost of water, T & P consumable materials and all labour as a complete job. The work is to be executed as per Latest Edition of "Guidelines for Earthwork in Railway Projects" issued by RDSO, Lucknow 5. Turfing/planting, including all lead and lift, and watering as required until properly rooted, with. te- Initially payment of only 40% will be made. Balance 60% will be paid only after 3 months of maintenance period if the turfing is properly rooted. Turfing with sods, 10 cm thick and 20 cm square closely laid. Sqm 6. Supplying and spreading of blanketing material over the embankment as per RDSO Guide Line. The rate shall include the cost of material with all leads, lift, loading, unloading, royalty, taxes, tools, Cum and plants, labour and materials required, dressing of bank to final dimension as required to achieve the required thickness. Layers not exceeding 30cm each as per direction of Engineer in charge including extra quantity of voids. If required blending of two or more materials available locally is to be done to attain the specified grade ratio of grain sizes or quality as required and detailed in RDSO's latest Guide lines. 7. 9 Schedule-B, (Minor Bridges). 1 Earth work in excavation for foundation and floors of the bridges, retaining walls etc., including setting out dressing of sides, ramming of bottom, getting out of excavated materials, bailing out of cum water, back filling in layers with available good excavated earth / approved materials and consolidation of layers by ramming and watering etc. including all lift, disposal of surplus soils upto a lead of 300m, all types of shoring and shuttering with all labour and materials complete as per drawing and technical specification as directed by Engineer in charge. 2 Supplying and filling sand in plinth and cum under floors including watering, ramming, consolidating and dressing complete. 3 Providing & laying 1:2:4 cement cum concrete (1 cement: 2 coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size). Rate includes costs of all material, labour, equipments, placing of concrete in position etc. in all complete. 4 Providing and laying in position (with or without reinforcement) machine mixed, cum machine vibrated and machine batched Design mixed cement concrete M-20 grade (cast in situ) using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate and coarse sand of approved quality as per specification and direction of Engineer in charge. Payment for reinforcement & shuttering shall be paid extra. 5 Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for : a) Foundations, footings, bases of columns, raft foundation of washable aprons, pile caps, footings of FOB etc. b) Walls (any thickness) including attached plasters, buttresses, plinth and string course etc. sqm sqm P a g e

Payment for shuttering, reinforcement shall be paid extra. 7 Supplying reinforcement for RCC Work Kg including straightening, cutting, bending, placing, in position and binding all complete. a) Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars 8 Providing Stone pitching hand packed with surface leveled off to the correct section with hammer dressing with directional slope at bridge floor / bank with joints thoroughly filled with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) along the return wall as per approved plan including all labour and materials, supply, leading, loading, taxes, royalty cum and placing in position etc. all complete with stone boulders of mm thick. 9 Providing boulder backing behind bridge wall, wing wall, return wall, retaining wall with hand packed boulders & cobbles with smaller size boulders towards the back including all cost of materials, tools & tackles, all lead, lift, labour, taxes, royalties & other incidental charges as complete works in all respect as directed by Engineer- In-Charge. 11 10 Providing & Laying filter material as per cum RDSO specifications underneath pitching in slopes complete as per technical specification 11 Providing and laying of filter media cum consisting of granular materials of GW. GP. SW groups as per IS in required profile behind boulder filling of abutments, wing walls / return walls etc above bed level with all labour and materials complete job as per drawing and technical specification of RDSO guidelines. 12 Supplying, providing & fixing weep RM holes of 100 mm dia. PVC pipe in bridge walls, return wall, wing wall etc as per the design & drawings. Rate includes costs of all materials, labours, tools & tackles, lead, lift etc. in all complete as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge. 13 Providing and applying two coats tar or sqm bitumen conforming to IS on the top and sides of RCC 1.70 kgs/sqm after cleaning the surface with all labour and materials complete job as directed by Engineer in charge. 14 Any other unforeseen item which are LS LS Please not covered by the above items of work will be operated as per NFR, SOR Basic cost Rs quote. % age At per / Above / Below. 12 Schedule 'C'- (P. Way Execution & Supply). Schedule 'C-1'- (P. Way Execution). 1 Laying B.G., straight or curve track Track with 60kg rails on pre-stressed Meter concrete sleeper (M+7 density) 1540 sleeper for conversion into 3 Rail SWR & curve track of 5º & above with 60Kg single Rail on pre-stressed concrete sleeper (M+7 density) with an additional sleeper to be provided at mid staggard joint and standard fittings ensuring correct spacing of sleepers, fixing & tightening of Fish bolts & nuts and maintaining proper gauge, alignment, level (both cross & longitudinal), expansion gap at rail joints, super elevation where necessary and with one initial through packing. The rate should be inclusive of dekinking of rails as required, cutting of rails as required on straight and curve track for squaring of joints & staggard joints for curve track of 5º & above, drilling holes on web of rail square to rail surface by using proper template for fish plated joints champhering of drilled holes, greasing and oiling of fish plates & fish bolts and nuts and at fishing zone of the rail ends including supply of grease, oil etc. Sleeper spacing, versine, super elevation etc shall be marked by the contractor with white paint at his own cost. The work has to be carried out as laid down in IRPWM and as per direction of the Engineer-in- Charge at site. The unit of track metre consists laying of both sides rails, sleepers and all other fittings required thereof. (NOTE: Rails will be issued from RITES/Client s Store, free of cost, within a distance of up to 10 km. The rate should be inclusive of all cost of carrying from the store to site of work with all lead, lift, ascent, descent crossing road/ Rly line if necessary.) 2 Drilling holes 28mm dia. in rails 60Kg/52 kg/rails section for fish bolts outside track. each P a g e

13 3 Cutting rails 60 kg/52 Kg (New/SH) rails section for fish bolts outside/inside track by Rail cutting equipment. each Supply & delivery of Machine crushed stone ballast of 65 mm size clean angular, hard and durable track ballast as per RDSO specification and stacking the same on cess of the formation or toe of the bank or at suitable place as directed by Engineer-in-Charge at site. The rate includes all cost of lead, lift, royalty, sales tax & other tax and duties and all incidental charges complete as applicable. Tools, plants and screens of approved mesh & dimensions required for inspection and passing at the time of measurement are to be arranged by the contractor. The rate also includes leveling of ground, if necessary, where the ballast are to be stacked. te: 90% payment shall be released on the net quantity accepted and balance 10% shall be released after spreading the same as per item no. 5 below. cum a) 5 b) Handling, lifting and leading of ballast from stacks with all lead, lift etc which have been duly measured and spreading the ballast on formation to ensure uniform and compact ballast cushion under the sleepers. The rate shall include spreading of ballast as per specified line and level and maintaining approved profile as provided in the technical specifications. Spreading of ballast on formation will be done only after supply is completed for a particular stretch as decided by Engineer in charge and ballast stacks have been released for spreading. 14 6 Through packing of any kind of sleepers with stone ballast to maintain correct alignment cross and longitudinal level as required for maintaining track gauge, versine, super elevation etc. on both straight and curve track laid with contractor's tools and labour inclusive of all charges as per IRPWM and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. a) 1st through packing Track Metre b) 2nd through packing Track Metre c) 3rd through packing Track Metre d) 4th through packing Track Metre Dismantling of Existing Track or any section of rails with any kind of sleepers and fittings and fastening. The rate should be inclusive of cutting of rails, fishplates, bolts and nuts by gas cutter if necessary, for dismantling of track. Dismantled materials should be segregated and are to be kept separately by the side of track upto a free lead of 30m as per direction Engineer- In- Charge. TM P a g e

15 8 Assembling, linking and laying in position B.G. Standard 60 kg turn-outs on P.S.C. sleepers including approach & exit PSC sleeper portion to correct alignment & gauge. This includes switches lead rails, stock rails both straight and curve, crossing with 60 kg rails and standard fittings ensuring correct spacing of sleepers fixing & tightening of Fish bolts & nuts and maintaining proper gauge, expansion gap at rail joints and with one initial through packing. The rate should be inclusive of dekinking of rails as required, bending stock rails, cutting of rails to required standard size and drilling holes on web of rails square to rail surface by using proper template (for fixing fishplates, distance block, stretcher bars), greasing and oiling of fish plates & fish bolts and nuts and at fishing zone of the rail ends including supply of grease, oil etc. complete in all respects. The rate should also be inclusive of carrying and spreading of rails, sleepers, switches, crossings, fittings & fastenings with all lead, lift, ascent, descent crossing Road/Rly line if necessary from RITES Store Depot to Site of work within a distance of 10 km. Sleeper spacing shall also be marked by the contractor with white/yellow paint at his own cost. The work has to be carried out as laid down in IRPWM and as per direction of the Engineer-in- Charge at site. a) 1 in 8.1/2 (Fan shaped) Turn Out. Set b) 1 in 12 (Fan shaped) Turn Out. 17 11 Through packing of 1 in 8.5 Derailing Switch on any kind of sleepers with stone ballast to maintain correct alignment cross and longitudinal level as required for maintaining track gauge, versine, super elevation etc. on both straight and curve track laid with contractor's tools and labour inclusive of all charges as per IRPWM and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. a) 1st through packing set b) 2nd through packing set c) 3rd through packing set d) 4th through packing set Cutting metal liners as per enclosed drawing for use at Fish plated joints. 13 Making and fixing in position cement concrete (1:2:4) Fouling Mark as per enclosed drawing with proper painting and lettering as per directives of the Engineer-in-Charge of the work. The rate is inclusive of all materials like cement, stone aggregates, sand and paints etc., earth work in excavation and all incidental works required for fixing in position complete in all respects. 14 Construction of Concrete Buffer as per RITES drawing including supply of bolts & nuts, washer, cement Buffer, wooden sleeper ( 2.75 m x m x m ) and all other materials. The rate should also including painting of Buffer, wooden sleeper with approved quality red paint. The rate should also inclusive of digging of foundation trenches shuttering & forma finishing with all lead, lift, ascent, descent etc complete as per RITES drawing. Each each each P a g e

18 15 Welding of Rail joints 60Kg from single to 3 rail panel by SKV process with Contractors supply of portion approved by RDSO, dry mould including supplying Skilled/artisan staff like welder, moulder chipper cutter aligner, hamerman & each adequate s of Semi Skilled & Unskilled labour and supplying required quantities of petrol for facilitating welding works on track by shifting the joint sleeper on either side providing suitable gap of about 23mm to 26mm for welding fixing the petrol tank & heating the rail ends by contractors equipments & chipping the excess materials if required aligning levelling etc. complete including filing after welding. The work is to carried out as per alumino Thermit Welding Manual and as per Specification IRS-T The rate should be also inclusive of pulling back of rails for providing required gaps at rail joints for thermit welding & USFD TEST of Welding Joints.(te: Payment for linking of track will be made under item 1 above.) 16 Manufacturing, supply, installation & delivery of glued joints (G-3L) as per RDSO drg no. T-671 from 52/60 Kg rails of 6.5 mtr each length. The rate should be exclusive of supply of 52/60 Kg rails which will be available in RITES stores located at a distance upto 5 km. The Glued joints are to be properly cured for adequate period, tested, fit for use in track circuit area and fit certificate should be issued by the Competent Inspecting Authority. The quality should be as per Rly standard. The rate should be inclusive of cutting of rails, true to the square vertically & horizontally, handling of rails, transporting with necessary lead, lift, ascent, descent & crossing road / Rly lines. This rate should also be exclusive of cost of 52/60 Kg rail required for Glued joints and inclusive of cost of HT bolts & other materials such as polymer, resin base compound etc. each P a g e

Schedule-D1 (Concrete Apron including Drain). 1 Earthwork in excavation as per cum approved drawings and dumping at embankment site or spoil heap, within railway land/owners land, including 50 mtr. lead and 1.5 mtr. lift, the lead to be measured from the centre of gravity of excavation to centre of gravity of spoil heap: the lift to be measured from natural ground level and paid for in layers of 1.5 mtr. each, including incidental work, as per specifications-in a) All kind of soils. 2 Supplying and filling sand over formation including watering ramming consolidating and dressing complete cum Providing and laying in position cement concrete 1:3:6(1 cement: 3 sand: 6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size).
