1 THERMAL SOUND & FIRE INSULATION

2 METAL FACING SANDWICH PANEL SANDWICH PANELS POLYURETHANE SANDWICH PANEL Sandwich panels are composite materials produced of two galvanized corrugated plates filled with polyurethane or polyisocyanurate or Rockwool for thermal insulation. Used for roofing, wall and internal partition or cold rooms of the buildings, sandwich panels provide a high level of thermal, water, sound insulation and prevent moisture condensation. In addition, they are distinguished with their bearing capacity as well. Sandwich panel is an economical solution when assessed within the context of cost-benefit analysis. Thickness of the sandwich panel and the filling materials is determined in accordance with the area of usage and amount of load applied on. The climate condition should be taken into consideration while determining the thickness of the filling material used in industrial buildings, military buildings, social buildings, agricultural buildings, sports facilities, construction sites, silos, hypermarkets, shopping malls, cold storage depots and marketplaces.

3 REACTIONS TO FIRE The following classifications for combustibility are assigned based on the limit values achieved by the tested product: A1 or A2 for a non-combustible material B, C, D, E for a combustible material, where B is lowest combustibility. A1 is the highest class and is not combined with any additional class. The other classes are always combined with the following additional classes which indicate the product s ability to produce smoke and flaming droplets and particles. s1 the structural element may produce a very limited amount of combustion gases s2 the structural element may produce a limited amount of combustion gases s3 no requirement for limited production of smoke d0 flaming droplets and particles may not be produced by the structural element d1 a limited amount of flaming droplets and particles may be produced by the structural element Mineral wool (Rockwool) Normally classed as A2-s1, d0. Panels with a hard core of high-density mineral wool fiber. A mineral wool panel generally achieves a very high fire performance and normally produces less smoke and heat than a panel with a polymer core. However, even a mineral wool panel is not classed as wholly non-combustible (class A1), as the fiber core contains binders and the core is glued to the sheets, usually with a polyurethane adhesive. For this reason, it is classed as A2. For structures serving as fire cell partitions, where a high fire resistance is required (greater than EI30), requirements are currently only satisfied by panels with a mineral wool core. PIR Polyisocyanurate Normally classed as B-s2, d0. A PIR core is a type of polyurethane that has undergone significant material modification. In the event of a fire the core chars on the exposed side; this charred layer then protects the rest of the core from the fire. This means that a panel with a PIR core is more resistant to fire than a PUR B3 core. It also emits less heat and smoke. PUR Polyurethane B3: Normally classed as C or D-s3, d0. A PUR foam performs less well in a fire than PIR and Rockwool Insulation. It emits more smoke and produces more heat during a fire.

7 Fire-rated Rockwool Sandwich Panel Rockwool insulation, mineral wool insulation, stone wool insulation that is all describe a versatile type of insulating material that is formed of fibers made from both natural and manmade materials such as glass basalt and metal oxides. USES OF ROCKWOOL INSULATION Thermal Insulation: When the fibers are combined into bulk wool or compressed sheets of fibers, there are tiny air pockets formed that traps air and hold in heat. Fire Barrier Component: when used within wall cavities it can act as an effective stand alone firestop, but as a packing material to hold another fireproof packing material. By itself, the Rockwool will provide no impedance to smoke migration and would be displaced in a real fire situation. Soundproofing: Sound waves enter the insulation sheets and get trapped and dampened by the tiny interwoven air pockets. Perforated sandwich panels are also available. HYDROPONICS Rockwool cubes will hold a great deal of moisture, while still allowing air flow, to help roots take hold and pull in nutrients. FIRE-RATED ROCKWOOL SANDWICH PANEL OR MINERAL WOOL SANDWICH PANEL containing board of mineral wool with variable thickness as the core material glued and compressed to pre painted metal sheets as its surface layers on a state of the art continuous production line. Freshly formed panels are then passed through an enclosed temperature controlled conveyor press for curing before the final panels are ready to cut. The mineral wool sandwich panel has excellent fireproofing property since the metal sheets and the mineral wool are non-combustible. DALAL mineral wool sandwich panels can be used for roof and wall panels as well as internal partitions, widely used also for covering industrial and commercial buildings in addition to other specialized applications because of their fireproofing, heat insulation and acoustic properties.
