StoPowerwall stcco fnctions as a decorative and protective exterior wall covering and may also be sed on sofits, ceilings and interior walls. As with any exterior wall covering, the proper integration of other components of constrction, in particlar, the se of lashing to direct water to the exterior, is essential. Eflorescence is a normal occrrence in Portland Cement based prodcts and can affect inal appearance of inish prodcts installed over stcco. Some degree of cracking is normal in Portland Cement stcco and shold be expected. Cracking is generally not cased by a material defect in the stcco and can be minimized by following sond constrction practice sch as the proper installation of lath, the se of properly graded sand, the proper incorporation of stress relief joints in the constrction, moist cring of the stcco after it has been applied, and proper seqencing of constrction to avoid stresses in the freshly placed stcco.
