Styling The authentic design of each round and square fluted, square panel or square smooth column is complemented by your choice of cap and base styles, including options for wrap-around applications. Wrap-Around Columns Any column can be ordered in a wrap-around style for assembly around an existing structure. All square columns and 6 and 8 round columns utilize standard staves and are load bearing. The 10 and larger round columns, which require a shorter, modified hook on one side of each stave, are non-load bearing. Two-piece caps and bases are also available for wrap-around applications. Strength Aluminum columns can be used as load bearing structural elements in entrances, covered walkways, lobbies, colonnades, balconies, and other structures. For Example: A 6 diameter round column or a 6 wide square or panel column that is 8 ft. in length is fully load bearing up to 13,000 lbs. FULLY LOAD BEARING All aluminum columns and caps and bases are available in your choice of decorative, permanent finishes, including white, almond, tan, and sandstone. In addition, 6 and 8 square profiles are available in black and dark bronze, and brown is available in 6 and 8 square fluted and round fluted profiles. Our two-piece, polymer composite caps and bases are available in white, almond, tan, sandstone, and brown. A mill finish is also available for those wishing to custom paint their columns and caps and bases. Easy Assembly & Installation Cut the staves (sections) of each column to size, then snap or lock them together. For one-piece caps and bases, just slip the column into the cap and base. For two-piece caps and bases, simply join the mating halves together around the column.
