DIATHONITE EVOLUTION INSULATION PLASTER Eco-friendly Clay and Cork-Based Plaster with Exceptional Thermal and Sound Insulation Properties THE BEST SOLUTION FOR BREATHABLE SOLID WALL INSTALLATIONS

A Forward Looking Company With Traditional Values Jordaya Ltd is a forward-thinking company working with the latest environmentally proven insulated render and facade systems. We believe in the traditional values of quality and customer satisfaction. Working with some of the leading system manufacturers, we provide expertise to deliver solutions to all, from new build in commercial, public and domestic projects, to refurbishment programmes for commercial, education facilities, Social Housing and one-off residential properties. We provide advice from design to completion and deliver buildings ready for the future. Since 2003, we have achieved a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability and competitive pricing. Our track record of clients retaining our services time after time demonstrates the trust we have built over the years. What Is Diathonite Evolution Insulation Plaster? Diathonite Evolution is one of the best performing eco-thermal plasters with outstanding thermal and sound insulation properties for solid wall construction. The resulting natural compound produces a plaster with unrivalled thermal and acoustic properties that is both hard wearing and flexible which is ideal for both internal and external applications. 1 Jordaya Contracting - Diathonite Evolution Insulation Plaster

Key Benefits Warmth and Comfort High insulation value, allows walls to breathe and regulate moisture. Elasticity Ten times more elastic than traditional plasters, reducing the risk of cracking and therefore increasing the longevity of walls and decoration. Breathability Diathonite leaves walls free to breathe, balances room humidity, prevents mould and condensation from developing, and contributes to healthy living. Energy Saving Improving typical Uvalues by 70% (Uvalue of solid wall 2.23W/m2K to 0.64W/m2K with 50mm) based on a 215mm brick wall. Adaptable Gives you the option of following the curves of existing walls. Eco-compatible Diathonite Evolution is a completely natural product and its use contributes to LEED credits. Protection from fire Diathonite does not burn and does not emit smoke. Class A2 fire resistant. Mechanical Strength High compression resistance. It can be used both indoor and outdoor, and gives walls strength and resistance and has ability to hang cupboards etc upon it. Acoustic Benefits Thanks to cork and its porous structure, Diathonite contributes to sound absorption and acoustic insulation. Lightweight Diathonite is 3 times lighter than traditional plasters. Humidity control The diatomaceous earth contributes to the hygrometric balance of rooms, giving maximum living comfort. 2

Specialist machinery allows Diathonite to be sprayed quickly and efficiently Internal or External Application Diathonite Evolution, when applied either internally or externally, creates a seamless thermal barrier which reduces any risk of cold bridging within the structure. To achieve very high thermal and acoustic performance, Diathonite Evolution will need to be applied at a thickness that is similar to those of wall insulation. One of the great advantages of applying Diathonite Evolution to existing Solid walled properties is that the insulation is applied directly to the wall, so no air gap is required, which means not losing extra floor space, and also therefore allowing the shape of the walls to be followed if required. There is reduced opportunity for mould growth as the high alkali value of natural lime prevents mould spores. 5 Internal application The use of Diathonite Evolution indoors enables you to control humidity, obtain mechanical strength, correct room noise, rapidly achieve thermal comfort, and save on the cubic volume of rooms. When it is impossible to intervene externally, the only way to apply the insulation is on the internal side of the walls. Internal insulation requires resistant materials, that do not excessively reduce the cubic volume of the rooms and have good hygroscopic features to prevent humidity problems. Thanks to its mechanical strength, breathability and hygroscopic capacity, Diathonite Evolution is the best solution for internal applications, for both renovations and new buildings. Thermal insulation, hygrometric balance, and living comfort Diathonite was applied by our specialist machine to a minimum depth of 40mm but in some cases deeper to achieve the desired look. Upon completion even the main contractor remarked how warm the walls felt just by putting his hand against them - Sean Denton, Jordaya Contracting 4

External application Applying a coating of the insulation system enables you to maximise thermal inertia of the walls, limit thermal dispersion, rectify thermal bridges, and protect the façade from water absorption. Thermal insulation is an essential aspect to guarantee energy saving and high living comfort of buildings. In this system the insulation material is applied to the whole outer surface of the building, just like a protective coating on the entire structure. Diathonite Evolution, a cork-based thermal plaster, enables you to easily and naturally create naturally high-performance thermal insulation. Energy saving and healthy living We have recently had our house plastered by Jordaya using Diathonite. We are delighted with both the product and by the workmanship of Sean at Jordaya Contracting and his team. The end result is far superior to what we could have achieved using polystyrene insulation and plasterboard. The rounded corners give a softer feel around the windows. 7 Diathonite Cork-Based Thermal Render Transforms Barn Complex Village House Ltd is a property development company specialising in barn conversions and listed building major renovations. For 20 years the company has been researching and experimenting with ways to improve the insulation value of solid stone walls. The aim has always been to achieve maximum insulation whilst retaining the full character of the building, with all of the existing curves and irregularities displayed. Various mixes using perlite or vermiculite have been tried but nothing has come close to the performance of Diathonite. The company has just completed its third large Diathonite application in the last year. These barn conversions have achieved a Band C energy rating with ease and customers have been impressed by the insulation efficiency. From a developer s viewpoint, surface cracking has been negligible and the lime putty topcoat has produced a fine, traditional finished surface which breathes and is easy to decorate. Jordaya Contracting Ltd has been in the vanguard of this progress. Diathonite is only as good as the specialist applying the product. Wall preparation, the fluidity of the mix and the coat thickness are crucial to avoid waste of material and time. Diathonite is a premium product so it is crucial to get the most out of every bag. This is where Jordaya s high output machine application comes into its own. The layers of Diathonite go on quickly and cleanly. Most importantly, there is more air and less compression in the layers than the same thickness applied by hand. This maximizes the insulation, sound resistance and breathability of the wall. Building Control Inspectors, Chartered Surveyors and Planning Conservation Officers have all been impressed by the look and performance of the walls. The next Village House project is the conversion of four large barns. Jordaya is already scheduled to apply the Diathonite. - Peter Moules, Village House Ltd 6
